To ask you to pick my takeaway for me?

I've had a shitty day. My little DD (18mo) has entered into the 'I hate my mum, I hate sleep, I hate food, I hate the park, I hate getting dressed, i hate the bath, I hate clean nappies, I hate the world' phase of life. She's been whinging and whining and refusing to nap all day. I'm losing the will to live. I'm a single parent, so there's no respite coming any time soon. Love her to death all and all that jazz

I'm on a strict diet. My BMIs healthy just, but I'm flabby as fuck. But tonight, I'm saying fuck it. When this little devil is asleep, I'm treating myself.

But it's been so long, I'm torn. What in the world do I order?! The world is my oyster-- I definitely don't want oysters.

This is what I'd order, from the three main options:

Chinese
Salt and pepper chips
Egg fried rice
Duck & pancakes
Something with sauce??

Indian
Pilau rice
Butter chicken
Saag paneer
Onion bhajis
Onion salad

Pizza Hut
Meat feast pizza
Hawaiian pizza
Potato wedges
Brownies
(This is the £20 deal. But min orders £25 so I would probably make it up with chicken Grin)

Don't fancy a burger or kebab. So these are my options. Which would you choose? I have prosecco to crack open when bedtime blesses itself upon me. Most votes wins. Off the menu items considered.

Please help me kill the time until then. This single mum shit really sucks sometimes..

Oh my God, Saag Paneer for me -I could eat that right now but need to lose about two stone in the next three weeks before my holiday and while that is not going to happen, a lovely massive curry is not going to help the situation.....

FlyHighLittleBee · 01/10/2016 18:26

Agh. But on a par to salt and pepper chips is..

Saag paneer.

My love.

How can I choose???

Can you tell I've been on a diet for 6 months?

Although I've never tried salt and pepper chicken. Another spanner in the works Grin

Curry. No contest :)

SingaSong12 · 01/10/2016 18:31

I'd go for the curry.

If you get the pizza maybe you could supplement with a tub of ice cream. If you don't finish it all maybe you can treat bribeyour DD to behave tomorrow.

Welshmaenad · 01/10/2016 18:31

Curry, just for the saag paneer.

I had a solo Indian feast last night - king prawn puri, pineapple rice, saag paneer, paneer shashlick, Korma sauce, and peshwari nan. I had the leftovers for lunch. It was immense.

HerFaceIsaMapOfTheWorld · 01/10/2016 18:31

CURRY I had a curry tonight was delicious and have prosecco ha

Tiredmumno1 · 01/10/2016 18:33

Did want Burger King, but our local one decided not to deliver tonight Angry

So,will have to have Chinese instead Smile

Tiredmumno1 · 01/10/2016 18:34

So in answer to your question, yes go for Chinese Grin

Loungingbutnotforlong · 01/10/2016 18:37

Curry....Star

FlyHighLittleBee · 01/10/2016 18:40

My DD has finally collapsed on the sofa. Ninja moved her to her cot and am about to pour my first glass of prosecco. All is right in the world GrinGrin

Curry won, by my calculations. Was intrigued by the king prawn puri a PP mentioned, so splashed out on that and a mixed starter (onion Bhaji, chicken tikka, lamb tikka and seekh kebab - not quite sure what the last one is, but it was only a pound more than the onion bhaji on its own). Oh, and I saw they had Kashmir rice (with cashews and almonds). Win!

Splashed out massively, but I haven't had a takeaway in months, and today I received a £1000 scholarship as I did so well in my first year at uni Grin so I'm going to eat this and enjoy the sweet taste of success!

Thanks everyone for your contribution. Hope everyone's enjoying their Saturday night Smile

I may have to find a new takeaway that sells salt and pepper chips, they sound amazing!

Champagneformyrealfriends · 01/10/2016 18:42

I'm so jealous! Enjoy op!

BellMcEnd · 01/10/2016 18:46

Good for you! Huge congrats on your scholarship. Enjoy your curry and prosecco.

so ordering salt and pepper chips immediately

CrazyNameCrazyGuy · 01/10/2016 18:47

Chinese

I love salt & pepper chips!

We have two takeaways near us that do slightly different versions, both are lush. One does them with slices of fresh chilli and the other uses chilli flakes. Both have fried onion and spring onion. Fooking gorgeous!

I think they are twice cooked - initially in the chip fryer and then in a wok where the chilli and onion are added.

BoyFromTheBigBadCity · 01/10/2016 18:58

King prawn purri is good of the gods. Good choice!

Welshmaenad · 01/10/2016 19:16

EEEEEEEEXCELLENT CHOICE

FlyHighLittleBee · 01/10/2016 19:27

Unreal!! Only made it halfway through but it was all I had hoped for GrinGrin

oh my swoon

dontpokethebear · 01/10/2016 20:42

Our local Chinese puts garlic, onion, tiny slivers of pepper, salt and chilli in their salt and pepper dishes. Never had chips though...

Doggity · 01/10/2016 21:12

You should have invited me over to share with you. I have a super serious, life threatening case of the sniffles and need comfort.

AlpacaPicnic · 01/10/2016 21:21

Well now you have The Food Of The Gods aka leftover curry for breakfast or dinner tomorrow. Just make sure you reheat everything until it's hotter than the surface of the sun. It tastes even better the next day...
