especially seeing as MIL car was parked directly beneath the tree? if i had known they were planning to do it today i would have advised her to park elsewhere before she went out with peter to harefield.

I work for a council and I am very suprised they did not write or knock on your door. I would contact your council and ask them for an explanation.

Was the car damaged?

misdee · 06/02/2007 14:53

the car is fine i think.

Our council have hundreds of trees to lop (all the roads are tree-lined) and don't inform people, I can see it would cost them a fortune if they did and take all year. But they do make an effort to knock on people's doors and ask them to move their car, and if they think it is at risk they will wait and come back another day.

I don’t see the issue, most tree surgeons are professional and know how to trim a tree without causing any damage, they also don’t have the time to knock on every door to advise they are cutting the tree.

There was no damage caused, so I don’t see the issue at all
