To be buying Christmas presents already

I love Christmas, but it super stresses me out if I leave all the buying until November/December. I've had (what I think is) a lovely idea for my sister and her partner (think hamper, but full of personalised bits and bobs that I have seen and put together instead of a professional one), am I crazy to start buying now? Or do others buy early in the year too? Also, my Idea, though I like it, may not be well received if I get things wrong, should I just be thinking of getting a normal pre made one instead? Thanks for your help!

I'm not going to buy much this year. Not meanness just rather sick of the commercial nonsense. Having said that my DC are adults. Last year I bought them too much and felt rather silly.

My Christmas shopping is almost done, just a few bits and pieces to get. I hate shopping (panic attacks in crowds😕) so it's nothing to do with me being organised

I was very organised last year and had it all done super early. However by Dec I felt some of the magic was gone. So this year I have saved with park and had my vouchers arrive but am holding off for a bit. I did pick up some catalogues today to start writtibg lists - I love a good a list!
