How can this mum blogger on FB who has over 180k followers seriously think this is an acceptable way to behave?

OP posts:
MumOnTheRunCatchingUp · 25/09/2016 19:52

Who is she ? She maybe would like to boost her account with more followers...

CatNip2 · 25/09/2016 19:53

I noticed the dip and dine too, so she helped out and paid for her brood to join in. Don't see any issue, Yabu.

papayasareyum · 25/09/2016 19:55

I find the mummy bloggers funny, but the ones who constantly post hilarious but cruel tales of what an irritating little twat their five year old is, won't get away with it when the five year old is seventeen. They'll have to start respecting their privacy at some point. I wonder what they'll write about then.

Thecontentedcat · 25/09/2016 19:55

180000 followers?! Shock
I might start a blog if this is the kind of rubbish people like to read, easy Peasy!
She sounds like an idiot. Hth.

Sparklingbrook · 25/09/2016 19:59

I thought you were limited to two children per adult in swimming pools? Plus how was she helping?

Really not keen on mummybloggers but at least they are easily avoided.

SheldonsSpot · 25/09/2016 20:00

Seems you can post any old shite online these days and call yourself a "blogger".

CrazyNameCrazyGuy · 25/09/2016 20:02

Not the sort of blog I'd be interested in to be honest, I don't think it's well written. I find it slightly annoying how she feels taking her brood swimming is such a massive drama (you had 'em, you entertain 'em) but I can't see any real issue here.

BummyMummy77 · 25/09/2016 20:02

Only blogs I read are ones that make me laugh. She's no hurrah for gin that's for sure.

She manages to cuss her kids and act like a raging alcy in a sweet and funny way.

Threebedsemii · 25/09/2016 20:05

It's not that Australian Constance woman is it? She's an irritating cunt.

I don't really like mummy bloggers either. I mean you went to the pool blah blah blah who gives a fuck. You're making a post out of the most boring thing most people do all week

aquawoman · 25/09/2016 20:05

I can't see what she's supposed to have done wrong.

I'd far rather read hers than that puke inducing best mommy in the world shit although actually I read neither

Queenbean · 25/09/2016 20:06

It's not my thing and I think even the term "mummy blogger" is hideous. But I also think it's a bit off naming and shaming - she hasn't actually done anything wrong. If you don't like it can't you just not read it?

CrazyNameCrazyGuy · 25/09/2016 20:10

LOL ThreeBed

I had to Google who you meant and found this (apologies for it being the Fail). Looks like you're not the only person who dislikes her.

JinkxMonsoon · 25/09/2016 20:12

Mum bloggers of that style are ten a penny.

I mean the ones that primarily focus on how crap motherhood can be, how awful kids can be, with swearing and plenty of booze references. Some are good and I enjoy chuckling at their posts. This one (who I've never come across before)... not so much.

I'd far rather read hers than that puke inducing best mommy in the world shit

Yes! I've had the misfortune of stumbling across the most saccharine blogs, which seem only to exist to blag as much free stuff as possible. Worst of all is they DO manage to blag a ton of free stuff.

QueenSpartacusOfTheAndals · 25/09/2016 20:12

Constance Hall can be irritating but I don't mind her so much. She was on the ball with the blackface thing, I can't believe in this day and age people think that's ok. It's the "Modern Mumma" with the rapey husband that gets me rolling my eyes.

Groovee · 25/09/2016 20:14

If you read the comments the Party mum had invited them and she takes the piss out of the party police!

Ladiva1971 · 25/09/2016 20:14

I do not understand this post at all......

Str4ngedaysindeed · 25/09/2016 20:19

Argh. Every single paper, magazine and online bloody page has one of these "mummies." I just can't see how they are funny or interesting or useful. Maybe it's just me.

StrangeLookingParasite · 25/09/2016 20:27

Doggity · 25/09/2016 20:29

Nothing wrong with it. I mean, it's boring IMO and not my thing but clearly people like it.

Argh crazyname she is so fucking cringy and dramatic. I reckon she's a narcissist - bet she drives her F&F mad. Plus she looks like she needs a wash

CrazyNameCrazyGuy · 25/09/2016 21:34

Queen

Fully agree re: blackface thing.

" It's the "Modern Mumma" with the rapey husband that gets me rolling my eyes." Whaaat?! Shock

Threebedsemi

I'm almost tempted to go and read some of her stuff but I resent giving crappy blogs any extra hits.

QueenSpartacusOfTheAndals · 25/09/2016 21:37

Don't you remember? She's the blogger who wrote about how she had to have a quickie with her husband as he'd been pestering her for sex all day - humping her leg, resting his genitals on her shoulder. She thought it was completely normal male behaviour and then got very upset when "trolls and feminists" said no it isn't.

Shedoesntgetthatfromme · 25/09/2016 21:52

^^This. A lot. Hmm

fruitboxjury · 25/09/2016 21:53

Can you imagine how you'd feel if someone wrote this about you online? How much they hated taking you anywhere, how you drive them to drink, where every other word written about you is an expletive? Then imagine that person was your mother.

So many mummy bloggers seem to have very young children who won't feel the impact of this kind of public over sharing yet, but it won't be long until they do and I honestly feel like the consequences of the digital footprint we are all leaving our children online has yet to come to light.

I personally have no problem with the style on adult level. I think it's mostly to try to make an impact in order to get followers. I'm not trying to be the fun police, but I really feel for the kids who will grow up having this sort of account thrown at them in the playground. Kids are cruel. At least the sickly sweet ones "luv my troops" type blogs aren't set up to give the kids a negative self image from the moment they realise what their parent has been writing about them. I'm prepared to be flamed for being out of touch and stuck up!
