To make as much fucking noise as possible

lastqueenofscotland · 25/09/2016 00:46

When I have to get up tomorrow at 7am

My neighbours are having a party and the bass from their music is shaking my wardrobe Shock

Our council has cut its emergency noise response service, so there is nothing I can do, we do have an ongoing complaint about them.

Before anyone suggests it I am not going round there. They are not nice people and I imagine would turn it up.

I'm up at 7 tomorrow, would I be unreasonable to open all the windows, turn the radio on and make stupid amounts of noise getting ready?!

Or to just put a brick through their window...

Go for it.

I'd play some nerve jangling Phillp Glass full blast. Give the fuckers an uneasy come down.

CrystalMcPistol · 25/09/2016 02:49

Play the Barney Theme Song. Loop it. Enjoy your day.

Or that ^^

A piccolo is really the almighty motherfucker of wind instruments. Recorder is in the halfpenny place in comparison Grin

I love the idea of the revenge CD - that's brilliant.

Alternatively, can you shove some prawns down their chimney?

whatstheplanphil · 25/09/2016 03:19

You have my sympathy - we had wanker neighbours who would keep us awake with their fucking music, arguements and banging, they were thoroughly unpleasant shots. If they kept us awake at night and we had to get up early for work my dp would get his drill and drill holes in a breeze block in the room directly under their bedroom to wake them up aswell. It made a really horrible loud unpleasant noise and definitely woke them up !! Hope you get some sleep tonight .

nursepearl · 25/09/2016 03:40

Agree with child playing the recorder, there is nothing more painful to listen to.

kittyjewel · 25/09/2016 04:30

Just thought of something else with my dirty evil mind muhahaha (evil laugh) bang a porno on full wack, (on the tv in ur bedroom for best effect if u can get access to one) And let them think you was getting banged all morning.

Toadinthehole · 25/09/2016 05:55

Some neighbours did this to a work mate. He plays the bagpipes.

A blast of Flowers of the Forest at 7 am after the party ensured that they did not repeat their behaviour.

NotYoda · 25/09/2016 05:57

Put your alarm clock on and let it ring for an hour

DeathStare · 25/09/2016 05:59

Do you have any other neighbours?

As much as I love the revenge ideas, I do feel sorry for any other neighbours who will also have been kept awake by them and then woken after almost no sleep by you.

VeryBitchyRestingFace · 25/09/2016 08:10

My neighbour across is an alcoholic who could sleep through a tornado and my downstairs neighbour appears to use the flat only as an infrequent pied-a-terre.

God bless them both.

Referencing another thread, get an Ocado delivery. Grin

Mumzypopz · 25/09/2016 08:28

Put the hoover on the wall, literally hold it to the wall right where they would be sleeping and bang it a few times. Failing that play a Justin Bieber tape really loud and sing along.....if you are really brave cut the hedge right outside their window......

ManaFleet · 25/09/2016 08:34

Was this a one-off OP? If so, I'd let it slide and talk to them later (jokey? "that sounded like a good party. Glad you don't do that every week!)

Your post was at just after midnight on a Saturday night and I'm afraid I think that's reasonable. I don't often do it myself these days but we've all had Saturday night noisy parties that piss off the neighbours.

If they do it all the time, totally different story.

lastqueenofscotland · 25/09/2016 08:35

I had a lovely morning hovering and moving a few items of furniture Grin

Mana no it's not a one off - I mentioned jn my post we have an existing complaint about themand there complete inability to do anything quietly.

lastqueenofscotland · 25/09/2016 08:41

Mana it's not a one off, the house the other side had a ridiculous party the other month but I've never heard a peep from them before and they dropped a note round saying sorry things got noisy/out of hand.

This house the other side is fairly Constant Angry I'd say two evenings a week they will have people round and stupidly loud music
And I felt furniture that was actually shaking in my room because of them was a step beyond.

If this is a regular occurrence, next time record their party, and then play it back to them at a high volume when they're trying to rest.

How could they possibly object?

VeryBitchyRestingFace · 25/09/2016 08:44

Thank God most council noise policies don't agree.

Pollyanna9 · 25/09/2016 08:48

PMSL! Ah God, MN always makes me laugh and cheers me up no end.

I do like the idea of two very differing types of music at full blast from VERY early the following morning (give them an hour after they go quiet say, so at least they've had a little nap first (which is probably more than you've had)) and blast it and go to the park with the kids/yourself/out for a walk.

If they have a problem look totally innocent and say oh God, I'm so sorry, don't know how that happened. Or oh gosh I didn't think you'd mind as you had music on really loud until 3am this morning...

I had never hear of a Revenge CD - sounds of great interest. I could do with one that turns on automatically every single time next doors kids slam the doors/thunder up and down the stairs/shout incessantly at full volume/scream at super high pitch/argue with their parents/slam doors with absolutely no regard for their attached neighbour - me!

CakeNinja · 25/09/2016 08:56

Do you happen to own any bagpipes?
A kazoo?
Know a one man band?

onecrazycook · 25/09/2016 08:58

Noise abatement policies say noise after 11pm is unacceptable. If you think that after midnight is ok, regardless of the day of the week, then frankly, you must be a horrible neighbour.

BlancheBlue · 25/09/2016 09:00

ManaFleet

You sound awful - I bet 99% of posters are glad they aren't your neighbour

Mumzypopz · 25/09/2016 09:09

Mana fleet it is NEVER reasonable to have a party that will affect your neighbours after midnight... respect your neighbours, what about families with young kids trying to get to sleep or people on shift who have to get up at 5am. Glad I don't live next door to you.
