Do you wash gym clothing after every session?

blueskyinmarch · 22/09/2016 18:56

Yes. It is sweaty and rank otherwise.

phillipp · 22/09/2016 18:57

God yes.

My is dripping by the time I have finished. Wearing it more than once would be pretty grim

MrsCampbellBlack · 22/09/2016 18:59

For sure.

Shannaratiger · 22/09/2016 19:01

Yes but only on a quicker wash.

jennyjenjen16 · 22/09/2016 19:02

Depends how sweaty you get/what workout you've done. For me, despite pushing myself to the absolute maximum I just do not sweat much at all Confused because of this I tend to wash mine after every second use. However, if I did get very sweaty or noticed that they smelt they'd be going straight in the machine

thelonelyhamster · 22/09/2016 19:04

Always! It's not just about any smell, unwashed gym clothing is a fantastic environment for bacteria to grow... its really nasty not to wash your exercise clothing between use.

3Eggses · 22/09/2016 19:05

Running shorts I sometimes use twice but they're loose so don't get sweaty. Top, underwear and socks are always drenched so they get washed, yes.

Sirzy · 22/09/2016 19:06

Yes

Tartsamazeballs · 22/09/2016 19:06

Yes. Don't use fabric conditioner it wrecks technical fabrics.

If stuff is super stinky, use vinegar in the pre wash.

If your stuff isn't sweaty you didn't work hard enough WinkGrin

Perfectlypurple · 22/09/2016 19:08

Yes. I sweat like mad so have to.

eightbluebirds · 22/09/2016 19:08

Absolutely

Runningupthathill82 · 22/09/2016 19:09

No...but only because I often run twice daily so will wear the same kit for both sessions. It certainly gets washed after every day's use, IYSWIM.
And its important never to use fabric conditioner and to turn the spin down to 800 max. Ruins the fibres otherwise.

blueskyinmarch · 22/09/2016 19:11

I wash all our technical fabrics at either 30 or 40 degrees, fast spin with fabric conditioner. They are all still in perfect condition. I don’t tumble dry them however. They dry really fast anyway.

KatieScarlett · 22/09/2016 19:16

He'll yes, I have to peel them off me, no way would I put them back on again, yuck.

TheNaze73 · 22/09/2016 19:17

What a ridiculous question. Of course!

TheSnowFairy · 22/09/2016 19:55

God yes. DH's get an extra long wash, it is rank.

fluffiphlox · 22/09/2016 19:57

Yes. There's a sports setting on my he machine which is about 30 mins

DereksGotATail · 22/09/2016 20:01

Yes. Think of all the bacteria festering in your unwashed kit.

nilbyname · 22/09/2016 20:06

Straight away! With detergent and a blast of vinegar.

iMatter · 22/09/2016 20:10

Yes. Every time. It's always soaking wet and would stink in no time.

HunterHearstHelmsley · 22/09/2016 20:11

Yep and I gym daily.

expatinscotland · 22/09/2016 20:12

Yes. In Halo sports wash.

GingerbreadLatteToGo · 22/09/2016 20:12

God yes. Urgh.

WellTidy · 22/09/2016 20:13
