To think this drawing (that my son drew) is bloody good for his age!?

How old would you think he was? Smile

It's a bit awkward if I'm just being over proud Grin

Anyway, I'm very chuffed!

That's really good! And neater colouring than mine did at the same age (though they, of course, have their talents!). Gloat away - you have a budding artist!

Waterlipe · 20/09/2016 21:57

Thanks everyone GrinFlowers

It's lovely but about right for that age, imo.

TheCountessofFitzdotterel · 20/09/2016 22:02

That's excellent. My ds2 draws at about that level and he's seven in a fortnight.

Pawprintz · 20/09/2016 22:03

It's a brilliant picture!

I would have guessed the artist was about four to five.

mygorgeousmilo · 20/09/2016 22:03

It is lovely, and I'd say good for his age! My eldest could draw like this at age 4, but my younger two nowhere near as well. That pics a keeper Star

Dizzybintess · 20/09/2016 22:05

Wow that's good
I am an Lsa and I would say that's late year one early year 2 standard

SolomanDaisy · 20/09/2016 22:10

Normal for Mumsnet at that age maybe! Judging from the pictures on the wall, there's only one child in my DS's (year 1) class who draws that well. My DS does lots of detail when drawing a person (neck, ears, belly button etc.) and draws very imaginative scenes but has nowhere near that pencil control.

mygrandchildrenrock · 20/09/2016 22:16

Most 4 or 5 year old boys can't draw like that, it is a very good drawing for one so young.

Champagneformyrealfriends · 20/09/2016 22:17

It's better than anything I could draw and I'm 28.

MistyMeena · 20/09/2016 22:19

That's better than my drawing and I'm the wrong side of 40.

youarenotkiddingme · 20/09/2016 22:20

I'm impressed. My DS couldn't do that he's 12!

celeste83 · 20/09/2016 22:20

Very good. Very good indeed. My 3 yr old very nearly 4 can barely hold a crayon properly Blush

HateSummer · 20/09/2016 22:28

Wow! My ds is 4 and just started reception. He has no concept of colour yet. That's an amazing picture for a 4 year old! Well done to him Star

Today dd1 found ds had drawn a "dead" face in his notebook, with crosses for eyes and sad mouth. We found that a bit disturbing, but, that's the kind of level he's at right now 😂

OvO · 20/09/2016 22:29

I think that's great for a 4 year old! Great level of detail, it's recognisable as Buzz, the colouring in is fab.

Good job, Mini Waterlipe!

a7mints · 20/09/2016 22:35

I would have said it was about 3-5 .It is average for his age.Sorry.

ohtheholidays · 20/09/2016 22:36

That's amazing I would have guessed about 6 or 7,The coloring is really neat.

maddiemookins16mum · 20/09/2016 22:39

I thought 6 because of the detail on the helmet.

JackandDiane · 20/09/2016 22:39

oh FOR GODS SAKE OP

Enidblyton1 · 20/09/2016 22:49

That's a brilliant drawing for a 4yr old! I would have guessed 5-6 at least. Keep encouraging him Smile

Spookle · 20/09/2016 22:52

That's adorable OP and I guessed at 6yrs old and knew it was Buzz. Did he watch Toy Story 3 at the weekend? I did and cried a little

PovertyPain · 20/09/2016 22:57

I would guess 48, but then I'm just going by my own lack of skills. Grin

verystressedmum · 20/09/2016 22:59

Very cute, made me smile Smile

Fairybella · 20/09/2016 23:11

That's so so sweet much better than any five year olds picture I've seen... My child insists all her pictures need kneecaps

KnitFastDieWarm · 20/09/2016 23:14

that's adorable, he's clearly got a talent and enjoyed drawing it! nothing better than being creative Grin
