To be sitting in a restaurant on my own?

I know I'm not Grin

DS is at school all day for the first time, I'm not picking him up, and I had two appointments in town, three hours apart.

So I've taken a table for one in a nice restaurant where I've just eaten pork shoulder with lentils and had two glasses of wine. I'm debating having a pudding.

After this I'm going to mooch round town and go to the library.

It's really quite nice.

Oh do piss off.

I'm having a nice time. I'm not knocking back a litre of vodka.

At one time I would have pitied somebody having lunch alone in a restaurant.. Now, I'd do anything for a lunch out alone, sounds bliss!

flanjabelle · 15/09/2016 13:39

The meal sounds lovely. I don't really drink though and I would be plastered on three glasses, no matter how small. I would be that drunk lady misbehaving and squeezing the coppers bum as I'm arrested. Not a good idea for me.

Ilovenannyplum · 15/09/2016 13:40

Oh. I am soooooo jealous.
I would love to have a DP free fussy bugger and 2yr old DS free he's cute but messy lunch on my own.

With wine. And pudding. And nice napkins. And no 'dip dip' (tomato sauce for those of you that don't understand 2yr old language)

lotusbiscuit · 15/09/2016 13:52

The school might not let you pick up your child if you arrive drunk, its a safeguarding thing. Plus, you'll stink of alcohol and all the mums will judge you for being half cut on the school run.

Get a coffee in you quick and some extra strong mints.

flanjabelle · 15/09/2016 13:56

I don't think the op is doing the school run.

Yep, no school run. I wouldn't get behind the wheel of a car or anything but I'm not pissed, just lightly buzzed.

Anyway, I've had a lovely time. Mooching round town now, will pop in to get my eyebrows done and then go to see the guy I've got to see, and then walk home. It's been a fab day out.

sounds blissful OP - enjoy the rest of your day and I love your username :o

This is my favourite thing to do! I sit with my laptop and work on my masterpiece, which takes increasingly unexpected turns as the wine intake climbs Grin

I've popped into smiths to buy the chav mags. My perfect day is almost complete.

I'd be pissed after two glasses! The state of me in the library would be bad!

LumpyMcBentface · 15/09/2016 14:34

I've sacked off the library. Had my brows threaded and tinted and now in M&S because I know how to rock.

I look a bit odd with my red forehead so maybe that'll distract people from the listing and slurring Grin
