I like the bake off.

I do not like the presenters.

Countless threads atm about it all but I'm going to say here and now. I do not like Mel and Sue on this. Shame as I like Mel generally.

Roll on the move to C4.

I love them. I used to love them on Light Lunch and Late Lunch back in the 90's too.

You need presenters on Bake Off to tease out some entertainment, suspense, personality and commentary from the bakers otherwise the contestants would just be sitting there baking in silence. Plus it adds some twee British humour - the crappy innuendos, sniggering and self-deprecation pair well with the theme of the show, IMO.
