To ask when your morning (all day) sickness stopped?

Have spoken about my severe morning (all day!) sickness on here before. Currently at 11+3 and wondering how far along you were before the sickness and nausea stopped?

Poor bunny! I felt like I was on a wildly rocking ship for the entire time I was pregnant. You have my sympathies. I was given Zofran wafers to help. Still felt vile but didn't hurl.

misspym · 14/09/2016 15:30

I had HG in both pregnancies. The first lasted right through til I gave birth although I did have some weeks that were better than others from about 20 weeks on.

Second time round I was extremely ill until 16 weeks and then it just stopped, like magic. I woke up one morning and didn't throw up and that was it til I was about 38 weeks when it returned.

Chocolatefudgecake100 · 14/09/2016 15:30

Around 16 weeks

misspym · 14/09/2016 15:32

It's definitely made worse by tiredness and hunger.

I had to carry dry crackers with me at all times.

When I was at my worst and could barely manage to hold down a few sips of water I discovered that I could tolerate small amounts of really cold bottled ice tea - the one that comes in different flavours.

WeMustGetOffTheMountain · 14/09/2016 15:34

All day every day for the entire 40 weeks the first time and 42 weeks the second time. Multiple hospital stays, kidneys started failing and vomiting blood on a daily basis. Such fun. But yeah, some people find relief sooner!

TattiePants · 14/09/2016 15:34

I really feel for you OP, I so wanted to be one of those women that blossom in pregnancy but I just felt shit the whole time. With DS it stopped at 20 weeks - just in time for the SPD, heartburn snd the first of two bleeds to start. With DD it lasted until 1.5 hours before I gave birth at 40+2. I don't do pregnancy well!

foxessocks · 14/09/2016 15:35

Somewhere between 20 and 24 weeks both times.

yeOldeTrout · 14/09/2016 15:46

Got better between 13 & 22 wks.

hellsbellsmelons · 14/09/2016 15:51

6 months before I could eat and keep down solids.
Part of the reason I only had one child!

LadyNellCardross · 14/09/2016 16:03

When the baby was born! I remember having a piece of toast and a cup of tea in the recovery room after my section and telling DH it was the most delicious thing I'd eaten in 9 months. It was a horrible pregnancy and you have my commiserations. Be gentle with yourself.

elliejjtiny · 14/09/2016 16:08

Miscarriage 1 - nothing
DS1 - 20 weeks (up to 20 times a day)
DS2 - 30 weeks (about 5 times a day)
DS3 - until my waters broke (about 10 times a day)
Miscarriage 2 - until my ERPC (about 5 times a day)
DS4 - same as DS3
DS5 - about 2 weeks after he was born (about 10 times a day).

DS5 is 2.3 and I still get food aversions. I had an anti sickness injection the day after my C-section with DS5 but the rest of the time the GP, midwives and Drs all said my sickness wasn't bad enough for meds Sad.

Sallystyle · 14/09/2016 16:15

9 months with one of them- in and out of hospital, could barely lift my head, couldn't keep down water. It was the worst experience ever, my throat was raw, my teeth were shit, I pulled muscles being sick daily.. it was horrendous and I felt suicidal.

I had another HG pregnancy, that one did ease up a lot after 14 weeks.

With the other three I started to feel better about 16 weeks but still vomited now and then until about 20 weeks. I was horribly sick but not at the same level as I was when I had HG.

Thanks
londonrach · 14/09/2016 16:24

Sorry op my sister was sick till 8 months which was awful. I felt sick but wasnt sick till 12 weeks so vvvvv lucky. hopefully you reaching the end now xxx

MessyBun247 · 14/09/2016 16:27

Mine started at 8 weeks and tailed off at 16 weeks.

thecraftyfox · 14/09/2016 16:31

Hyperemesis here too. Stopped at 27 weeks. At 28 weeks the spd/pgp kicked in instead. I never glowed. I was just sort of green

NeedMoreSleepOrSugar · 14/09/2016 16:33

I was sick the whole way through, but it became much easier to deal with around 20 weeks. I remember getting up in the morning and not feeling like death for the first time in months and skipping around the kitchen saying "I'm back! I'm me again!" (Then was sick again ten minutes later!)

Bubblebloodypop · 14/09/2016 16:38

When I gave birth unfortunately.

PinkFroggy · 14/09/2016 16:40

Different for everyone. I had hg and threw up multiple times a day every day until 38 weeks when it eased a bit. Terrible food aversions. I could only eat potato and cheese. Everything else came back up! I was offered all sorts of antisickness pills but didn't like the lists of potential side effects so didn't take any. More fool me, I think.

Witchend · 14/09/2016 16:44

About 2hours after birth... Sorry.

I did however had a brief patch between 28 and 30 weeks where there were times I almost felt only a little sick.

Nanny0gg · 14/09/2016 16:48

About 2hours after birth... Sorry.

Snap.

And I still heave if I'm really tired. (My DC are in their thirties)

I hope it's better for you.

pontificationcentral · 14/09/2016 16:51

Dd1 - about 20 weeks
Ds1 - birth
Dd2 - about 16 weeks

I was still barfing in labour with ds1. The midwives thought it was related to labour but I was like 'no, I've been doing this for 9 solid months. Get this baby out of me.'

Lules · 14/09/2016 16:56

It lasted until I gave birth for me too, but it did get better after about 26 weeks. Don't be fobbed off. There are lots of drugs out there - keep going until you find something that works for you.

Iliveinalighthousewiththeghost · 14/09/2016 17:01

It's bloody horrible pregnancy sickness. Mine lasted right up until my dd was born.
I had to be put on a drip at one point..
You have my uppermost sympathy. Hope it flies over for you.

Notsure1234 · 14/09/2016 17:08

16 weeks although never actually vomitted, just severe nausea. Which may have been worse as no short period of relief after being sick

sdaisy26 · 14/09/2016 17:52

With dd I was sick several times a day until 20w, then just nauseous for about 4 weeks, then sick again once a day or so until the end.

With ds I was sick multiple times a day, every single day, from 3+4 (when I realised I was pg because of the sickness) until he was born at 40+10.

We aren't having any more.
