In my area we have about 4 pools only 2 have baby pools tried to go swimming today told its booked up with schools everyday until 2 there would then be no point in going as I have to do school run

I asked about the other pool there booked up from 10 to 3 wtf I couldn't even go in the big pool as it had lane swimming and the othe location had swim a robics

Not very public really if no one but clubs and schools who have booked a year in advance get to use the pool

The pool we use is a small pool. The large pool has school kids interspersed with lane swimmers, although they get turfed into the small pool.

They used to divide the big pool in half when schools were in but now the lane swimmers are sent to the small pool. Wonder if it's a child privacy thing? Now there is a huge pool with 20 or so kids who seem to spend an awful lot of time sitting at the edge

Our local council pool is full of school kids during the week but there are loads of holiday parks and hotels that have pools perfect for babies and charge about the same price. Try looking beyond the obvious places and I bet you'll find some lovely quiet pools; my experience is that hotel pools are usually warmer and cleaner than our local big place.

In the good old days when we had a children's centre, they used to run baby swimming sessions at a local primary school too which worked out loads cheaper than a family swim at the normal place.

The timetables posted look like are loads of free slots. Find a day once s week and go for that. Or book baby lessons and do those.
