AGL you'll soon get used to it. Do you have lectures a few times a week or is it more of practical course. My dd is in yr 13 and seems to have settled in now. First week she went back to 6th form she found things difficult and was stressful but now she's more cheerful about her studies.
Also one of her good school friends moved to a different area so dd missed her.partner in crime. She's also going to miss her bf as he's going to Exeter uni at the weekend.
Not looking forward to the tears she'll cry but Mama Portia will give cuddles.

I need something booked so we can save/pay it off. Plus the venues I'm looking at are popular and are already booking for 2018 Hmm

xmas Yes a friend of mine git married last year and they had to book a hotel venue almost a year in advance. When I was married we had all arrangements sorted in 3 or 4 months. That was a few years ago now though and probably before venues were so popular, as in hotels didn't have the licences they have now.
It's all so expensive though, but my Dad paid for my ill fated day.
I hope you find somewhere you like soon though Smile

Xmas OK so venue must:

  1. be all in one.
  2. be able to do hog roast for evening do.

Other things to consider:
A) How many for ceremony? (You don't want room too big or small for number of guests)
B) How many for the meal?
C) How many for evening/hog roast?
D) What kind of food for meal? Will it need to be a menu people choose from in advance or will people have options on the day?
E) What good photo areas do they have inside and out?
F) is it exclusive use or are other people about?
G) Do you need a honeymoon suite? Will some guests need a room? What packages do the hotel do for these. Does honeymoon suite have jacuzzi?
H) how do they time the meals coming out and being taken away? - At bil&sil's wedding last year they took ages to get all the meals out (bridal table had finished eating before half of the other tables had their food - not a massive wedding either. Then they then took all the plates out really fast - even though lots of people were still eating (as in knife and fork in hand chopping food or putting food in mouth with fork, not at all lazing about eating slow)! The last table had their main less than 5minutes from plates going down to plates being taken.
I) what kind of drinks options are available for meal and bar and what will it cost you and your guests.

There's bound to be other things but that should help you narrow it down.

Well blue it depends on what the two things were.... if they were 1) get out of bed 2) actually, really, get out of bed, and Jet didn't, then I might have some sympathy for the guy.

Thanks blue for the list. All really valid points!!

Trouble is DP works nights and wrestles most Saturday's so we dont really have much free time to visit all 4246763 venues I've found 🙈 I'm trying to narrow it down but there's only so much an iPhone screen can give begin you get a headache 😭

Thanks Blue Grin I have calmed down now. He is good at bursting my 'look what I've accomplished' bubble. He says I am over sensitive. My new policy shall be that I wont tell him anything I've done and if he askes what I did during the day I shall say "Nothing."
