4p a minute, how long does it have to be on for?

bakedpeachesandchampagne · 12/09/2016 19:24

being - ah right - so at least 3 years before wearing any favourite clothes while baby is awake!.

BeingATwatItsABingThing · 12/09/2016 19:32

It's rare. I wear things I like. But earlier this year, I had to change my PJs 3 times in one night because DD was sick repeatedly over me. DP was sick free all night... Angry

VanillaSugarandChristmasSpice · 12/09/2016 19:33

If you've completely filled it, then 24 hours. So that's still less than £1.

Pants dried quicker so you can take those off and then spread things like jeans out.

Be careful to ensure that the clothes are crispy dry before putting them away otherwise they'll get mildew.

being - oh that wasn't a fun night - poor little DD Sad. DP owes you for that one!.

BeingATwatItsABingThing · 12/09/2016 19:42

He's a good egg. He always gets up when she cries. I'm terrible and struggle to wake up. It's great! When she comes into our bed, she snuggles up to me though.

PortiaCastis · 12/09/2016 19:48

So a heated airer would be cheaper than a dryer by the sounds of it.? I have to use a dryer because gulls swoop on my washing line and leave deposits. Then I end up washing things again.

😉

DoofusMcfoofus · 12/09/2016 19:53

I've always wanted a dry buddy! I've got a tumble dryer and it costs a bloody bomb but I have no choice but to use it.

How's everyone?

PrettyBlueDressForTheXmasBall · 12/09/2016 20:01

My tumble dryer only costs approx 40-50p per 8kg load. So actually less than a heated airer for 24hrs. I never understand why people go on about the cost of using a tumble dryer.

bakedpeachesandchampagne · 12/09/2016 20:02

Aw being that's top teamwork that is Smile.

HelenaDove · 12/09/2016 20:03

Seagulls are a PITA We sometimes get them here even though we are a way inland.

PrettyBlueDressForTheXmasBall · 12/09/2016 20:07

doofus my pup often sleeps half in half out of his bed too. Always looks so uncomfortable, yet he seems to love it HmmConfused

BeingATwatItsABingThing · 12/09/2016 20:08

Some things can't be tumbled though. Heated airer sorts that.

And yeah, we're pretty good at the whole team work thing. I do love him. Grin

HelenaDove · 12/09/2016 20:11

Awww Being thats lovely.

PrettyBlueDressForTheXmasBall · 12/09/2016 20:14

Oh and doofus the new pets at home AVA is very good nutritionally for a budget food.

PortiaCastis · 12/09/2016 20:15

I may invest in a heated airer for socks and pants which I have managed to shrink in the past. Smile.
Yes gulls are a PITA and we have plenty of the swines.

PrettyBlueDressForTheXmasBall · 12/09/2016 20:17

Being I have a basic airer for non-tumble-dryables, so obviously only costs my time putting stuff on it. (but avoid buying things that can't be tumbled as much as possible)

PrettyBlueDressForTheXmasBall · 12/09/2016 20:20

Portia you shrunk undies! That's an achievement or were they fancy ones that shouldn't be tumbled?

Socks I always find appear shrunken after going in tumble dryer for first time but never seem/feel shrunken once on Confused

PortiaCastis · 12/09/2016 20:24

Blue There were Rosie whatsit at M&S ones but I must have been distracted and put them in the dryer for too long or my bum got bigger.

I had a built in one with timed cycles in a rental property - I could never understand the timings. So when I bought a house I got a sensor drying one, so I don't need to work out how much drying something needs.

PortiaCastis · 12/09/2016 20:33

I'll acknowledge chocolate milkshake day and offer this little gen

I tend to open the door throw all the laundry in and hope for the best. Grin

AverageGayLadAtChristmas · 12/09/2016 20:40

Grin I don't have the space or vent space for a dryer!
