I think Bertie has had enough of today already...this is how he's been since we got back Grin

AGL I'm also waiting with baited breath for the next washer installment. I got mine from AO, ordered Sunday, arrived Monday straight into 5 loads of washing Shock

No wake and shake at school this morning. Although I love doing the YMCA first thing in the morning going straight into class was way easier.

Awwww he is so cute. All tucked up like a little baby, too. So sweet. Did he whine overnight?

What the hell is wake and shake?

PrettyBlueDressForTheXmasBall · 12/09/2016 11:39

This is my pup, when he was 12weeks, flat out on his back. (Please excuse the lack of bed - he'd wee'd on it.)

PrettyBlueDressForTheXmasBall · 12/09/2016 11:40

Yay I manage to post a pic! I've never done that before.

DoofusMcfoofus · 12/09/2016 11:43

blue That's so cute!

Wake and shake is what the school do to get the kids moving. Friday was the cha-cha slide 😂

He's finally woken up and is helpfully stripping his bed.

PrettyBlueDressForTheXmasBall · 12/09/2016 11:43

This is him at 8weeks

What so you all line up on the playground and dance before going into the classroom?!?Shock

VanillaSugarandChristmasSpice · 12/09/2016 11:56

Yup, my DD had to do that at primary school. She hated it.

Oh my God that is cuteness overload!!

That's exactly it blue but the parents are expected to bugger of just as the bell goes so I don't have to suffer any indignity 😂

DoofusMcfoofus · 12/09/2016 11:59

I have to say vanilla my ds isn't too keen but he appears to be in a minority, the older kids seem to love it.

DoofusMcfoofus · 12/09/2016 12:03

Actually you lovely peeps might be able to help me. I posted on the dog house but nobody is interested 😭

Bertie won't eat the food he was weaned onto. I was intending on swapping it anyway as so many people have said it's rubbish but it has to be done gradually...how do I do that if he won't eat the first stuff?

peachmama · 12/09/2016 12:08

doofus - we didn't do it gradually - we swapped our pup onto better food as soon as we could and didn't do it over time. Don't worry about doing it gradually if you can't. If you feed him good quality food he should be fine and avoid a tummy upset. You could always give him some cooked chicken and rice at dinner time to wean him onto it more slowly if you wanted to.

HTH

My Mum's dog is called Bertie - he is HUGE!.

AGL sending you a big virtual baby snuggle from peach baby. I'm afraid she might get snot on your chin though! Looking forward to finding out who wins the AGL washing machine purchase!

jetSTAR · 12/09/2016 12:13

What food is it Doofus? My pup was on Pedigree Chum years ago but I soon swapped it, I think I mixed the two together to begin with and maybe tried a few different brands? Have used Naturediet for years now (or Chappie if I can't get hold of it) which I was reccommended by our puppy training classes. I have hand fed my two in the past! Sometimes I feed them rice and chicken if they have been ill! We used to have a Cavalier King Charles and now we just have a Border Collie.
disclaimer - I am not a dog expert
PrettyBlue what breed is your pup?

peachmama · 12/09/2016 12:14

New xmas party frock #1 has arrived Grin. Long, black and slinky with a rather high split. I WILL get back to sexy! (''ish). Well hopefully DP will like it anyway.

Great motivation to work my wobbly bottom off at bootcamp and 12lbs of fats to go.....

jetSTAR · 12/09/2016 12:15

cross posts with Peach Grin

bakedpeachesandchampagne · 12/09/2016 12:19

Can I have your views on my new name? - Christmassy or crap?!.

PrettyBlueDressForTheXmasBall · 12/09/2016 12:26

Doofus its common for the change of home to mean they don't really eat for a couple of days. As long as he's drinking he's OK. I would keep offering fresh food 4x a day and slowly add in more of new food and less of old food.

jet he's a Cavalier king Charles Spaniel. He's Ruby but has some white markings because he's from a solid to particolour mating.

VanillaSugarandChristmasSpice · 12/09/2016 12:32

peaches do you bake the peaches in champagne? ❌ (Cos that would be a waste). OR do you bake your peaches whilst you drink champagne? ✔

Bettercallsaul1 · 12/09/2016 12:33

No - keep it peaches! You sound delicious! And any name that has champers in it, must be ok!

Bettercallsaul1 · 12/09/2016 12:37

Vanilla's name sounds very edible too!

bakedpeachesandchampagne · 12/09/2016 12:37

My two favourite ladies like it - it stays!. Of course the latter vanilla Grin.

DoofusMcfoofus · 12/09/2016 12:38

The puppy has more food in the house than us humans 😂😂

He was weaned onto bakers but I've been told by quite a few people that it's not great and read many, many reviews and found pets at home own brand had hundreds of raving reviews so bought a bag of that. Now he's come home with a bag of food called 'specific' from the vet's which is what they recommend.

He may have been spoilt last night as he had roast chicken and veg which is what I made for us...he wolfed that down. He's refused the bakers again for lunch so gave him a bit of stuffing with the vet's food.

Fussy eating is not something I have experience of...ds is a human dustbin and will eat anything!

VanillaSugarandChristmasSpice · 12/09/2016 12:45

Back to candles. Wtf is this?

doofus - please forgive me....Bakers isn't meant to be great....nor is Pets at Home own brand. This is from my Vet, he is a rescue pup so from those that ran the rescue and I was training him in trialling and obedience before I had human baby - so learnt a wealth of info from the trainers there. Just so you know where I got that from.

have to say though - none of them had a Jack Russel....Hmm.

Haven't heard of "specific" - if Vet recommended would think much better!.
