misdee · 02/02/2007 17:26

she went 'missing' today. she is often late, always on her mobile and falls asleep/.

she is never working for us again, but i want her sacked completely becuase i belive she will do it to other clients as well.

Nope perfectly reasonable, tell the agency whoever deals with the careers you dont want her anywhere near your family she is unreliable and a liability!!!

Make a list of the times she has let you down and the other problems

hope it works
Helen

Link to the other thread please? As soon as I saw the thread title I thought, "this has got to be Misdee and the woman who is always late "

Miaou · 02/02/2007 20:18

Oh the was at the carer, not you!!!

nikkie · 02/02/2007 20:36

I saw this and thought of you Misdee, thats not good is it
Yes do anything you can to get her sacked. Can you speak to any more of her 'clients'? and encourage them to do the same?

PersonalClown · 02/02/2007 20:39

Get the lazy moo sacked.
She takes away valuble shopping time with me!!!
It may not be the most exciting of jobs but she is being paid to 'care' for someone and that includes all the boring/unpleasant parts. How much use is she if she's snoring?

misdee · 02/02/2007 20:41

i said i would make them wash his feet nexttime!

Hello Misdee, I've lurked on your threads but not really posted however I may be able to help a bit here. I have a background in working in residential care and worked for an agency as a 'home carer' for about 5 years before having my two.
This woman's behaviour sounds completely out of order and if I was a fellow worker I would be approaching the agency.

I don't know about getting her sacked because of her behaviour with you (though if they have had other complaints it may do it) but a formal letter of complaint to the agency, including as much information of times/dates/inappropriate behaviour as possible will get the ball rolling.

I'd write one letter now giving full vent to all your anger then the next day write the 'real' one in as calm and professional way as you can. Send the 2nd one!
If you need any help drafting it, or would like someone to look at it before you send it then CAT me, I can write a mean stroppy letter when I get going!
HTH and good luck.

edam · 02/02/2007 21:14

Misdee, would definitely complain, and copy the letter to the Commission for Social Care Inspection. here

LIZS · 03/02/2007 14:39

Might be worth pointing out to the agency that had something happened and she hadn't been "available" to help your dh (cite your fright the other night if you feel up to it) would they have been covered for her negligence ? Seems like a hige risk for them to continue to use her.

KensingtonMama · 20/05/2017 19:17

YANBU IMO, you're paying, you can have some say in what you're paying for surely?

strawberryblondebint · 20/05/2017 19:25

Can someone link to the other thread. But no yanbu

ilovesooty · 20/05/2017 19:27

Ffs. Not another one.

QuiteLikely5 · 20/05/2017 19:28

Contact the gscc as she will be registered and by law is required to abide by a code of conduct which she clearly isn't

The agency might be desperate and not do much

Missrubyring · 20/05/2017 19:28
