To be offended by dog poo comment from other holiday guest

Currently in a holiday cottage which is four terraced cottages opening on to a shared courtyard. we are the only "guests" here. one of the cottages is occupied by the owners and one by a builder who is here converting the owners barns.
Day one the owners JR attacked our little dog as it was in our cottage eating our dogs food. When the owner pulled it off it bit her.
The reason we booked as it is dog friendly and the courtyard is safe.
It is so hot and humid we have had our door open and our little dog wanders in and out the court yard.
We have been poo picking as and when including the owners dogs poo. There is a poo bin on courtyard.
Day two our dog does her business whilst we were having breakfast but when we go to pick it up it has gone.
Day three our dog gets attacked again after JR comes in our cottage and eats our dogs food. so we decided to keep the door shut and put up with the heat.
Day four we come back from the beach and are hosing down our dog so not to bring sand into the cottage. The builder opens his door ( never seen him before) and his JR ( different JR) attacks our dog in the courtyard. Then has a go at us saying we have left the courtyard full of shit every day????
We tell him no actually we have been picking up ours and the owners poo every day. my DH pulls out poo bags from his pocket and says look we come well equipped. The builder without saying a word of apology about his dog slams his door.
We are here for another 3 days and I dont feel comfortable being here anymore mainly as we will have to sit inside for the safety of our little dog.

Oh horse and hound!
I was thinking Jesus if it's a holiday home owners forum and this thread is a reverse my God!
My jrt keeps attacking our clients dog and eating its food and they have started locking the door and not picking up my dogs poo
Aibu? They are in my home
Type thing....

So you own a horse and a hound?

ErrolTheDragon · 07/09/2016 14:29

Bit Hmm that the thread title is about you being 'offended' (by what could be a misunderstanding) rather than your dog being attacked by other dogs.

Talk to the owners, and warn people off going there if they've got a small/non-dominant dog.

FrameyMcFrame 3 horses, one hound.........

Is it G..... F.....?

birdladyfromhomealone · 07/09/2016 17:54

Ha Ha yes outed!
Yes I am here with my horse and my dog.
It appears the owners JR that came into our cottage twice and ate our dogs food and went for her after it had eaten her food, AND the builders JR that also pinned her down are siblings, bitch and dog.
AND the owner and builder are also Brother and sister. The owner (sister) apologised and admitted her brother can be over zealous about poo picking but laughs off the dogs being aggressive as it is their home. We have now going forwards we have left the door open but put a suitcase across it to stop our dog going out.
I will be leaving a review for the cottage and stables in the visitors book and on-line.

Oh no! We went in August and had a wonderful time, but we didn't bring animals. The fridge was too small though!

The JR was brilliant with the kids but did have a limp from fighting another dog.

Hello fellow HHOer

another one here. Now working out who G...F... is!

If you've discussed it with the owner and they don't think their dogs attacking yours is an issue then I would think bad trip advisor review when you get back.

They are going to end up losing their JRT if they allow that sort of thing to continue, if one of my bigger dogs had a strange dog barge in try to eat their food and then attack them, there'd be a SERIOUS fight and the little dog would certainly come off v badly, and I would NOT be paying their vet bills either!
