I dunno. I think the "ppl" who are in a discussion are possibly wasting their time less than those who comment to say how pointless commenting is.

Most of us wouldn't know if we'd been quoted or not. Which is a slightly uncomfortable thought, I suppose.

They'd just blank it out as they do with the swearing.

Mumsnet isn't the only forum they do it with, there's plenty of reddit and Quora threads making "news" now.
