I opened the bathroom cabinet while she was next to me and saw her spot the Peppa Pig plasters. She loves the Peppa Pig plasters but is usually told no, you don't need one now.

I saw her open her mouth think and think better of it.

Than I watched her stick her finger hard into the door latch.

"ooh! Ow mummy! I need a plaster!" and suitable dramatic face.

DC1 wasn't this sneaky at the age of 2. Is she an evil genius?

When DD started school, they had a little notebook that parents signed every week about their reading. I caught 4 year old DD practising my signature so she could sign it for me. Not so much evil genius as criminal-in-training, but I was secretly a bit impressed.

DS1 used to hold onto the radiator to see if he could get a temperature. He knew that a temperature meant no nursery. He studied engineering at Uni.
