To go out for a drink?

My friend is going through a very hard time at the moment, and she's asked if I'm free tonight for a quick drink down the local.

I've just mentioned it to DH, and he's moaning and going on that he wanted to have some time with me this evening.

We have time together every evening Hmm I usually give him a good 2/3 weeks notice if a girls night out is planned. But this isn't a girls night out, it's me being there for my friend who's had a shit week.

WIBU to go?

Go.

TheSparrowhawk · 02/09/2016 15:30

Yes you would BU. Your master has said you should stay in the house, so you stay in the house. Disobedient wench.

MLGs · 02/09/2016 15:31

Yanbu. Hibu. That is all..

Meh84 · 02/09/2016 15:31

Honestly that what it feels like.

I ask for one random drink with my best mate and he turns into a twat.

Why are you even asking? You're not a child.

Tell him to fuck the fuck off. Is it time to LTB?

Buzzardbird · 02/09/2016 15:33

Ask him what he has planned before you say "never mind, always tomorrow".

Mybeardeddragonjustdied2016 · 02/09/2016 15:33

So u get a night out and a quiet day tomo!!

ImperialBlether · 02/09/2016 15:33

Does he go out at all?

Meh84 · 02/09/2016 15:37

I'm asking because he makes me feel bad!

Then I question if IBU or not. It's so annoying.

He doesn't go out a great deal, he works a lot of saturdays and stops for a beer on the way home with his work mate - I never moan at him about that ever.

You should not have to ask him! Do you have DC? That's the only time I run it past DH if I'm going out and it means him doing bath/bed on his own. Even then, I'm not asking permission just being courteous.

IzzyIsBusy · 02/09/2016 15:43

Hes a twat.
Go and support your friend and if he continues to be a twat tomorrow go out and support your friend again Grin

squoosh · 02/09/2016 15:45

Tell him to grow up.

Tell him this as you're heading out the door to meet your friend.

Meh84 · 02/09/2016 16:05

Yeah we have 2 DCs 4 & 6

Izzy that sounds like a good idea! Grin

He won't speak to you tomorrow because you're going out for a couple of hours? I think you've got bigger problems to sort out!

squoosh · 02/09/2016 16:09

He won't be speaking to me at all tomorrow.

Ugh. I've just spotted that.

I have NO TIME for people who sulk like this. He sounds like a bit of a shit OP, punishing you for going to meet a friend. That's really not on.

StillStayingClassySanDiego · 02/09/2016 16:14

Tell him he's being a twat and that the more he sulks the bigger a twat he becomes in your eyes, go out and ignore his sad, sulky face.

Let him know you won't be cowed by his behaviour.

SirKillalot · 02/09/2016 16:16

He won't speak to you tomorrow because you're going out for a drink tonight? You have big DH problems. What a dick. What's his problem?

EtTuTuttiFrutti · 02/09/2016 16:16

Support your friend. He's just being contrary and difficult.

oldlaundbooth · 02/09/2016 16:28

Have fun.

Can I join you?? Grin
