am well aware of who created the term, in the same way that I am aware of who created other terms as a slur.

But unless feminism has become a hive mind, terf is not every feminist and every feminist is not a terf.

In practice TERF is used to mean anyone who disagrees with TAs - I have seen it used for women who would be quite surprised to be described as feminists at all let alone radical ones.
