AIBU to threaten STBXH that if he keeps stalling I will push for more?

Started divorce proceedings in January and should have got my Decree Absolute last month. However, because STBX keeps stalling for time over finances, it's been put on hold.
He is still in family home, still not put it up for sale. Me and DCs living miles from their friends and schools in a tiny terrace with no garden or outside space whatsoever.
It's starting to really piss me off now. EX has done nothing to move divorce on, I was so grateful for CM payments that I kept quiet to keep the peace.
But it's getting ridiculous now. I mean, he could just keep stalling indefinitely, couldn't he? My solicitor has written to his asking for 50/50 financial settlement. That was 6 weeks ago and have heard nothing back.
AIBU to tell him that, if he doesn't get his arse in gear asap and sell the FH so I can buy somewhere halfway decent for me and DCs, I will push for 60/40 or more?

Definitely this!! He could stall for years. (I divorced in 2013 & we are still in court over finance). Good luck!

Get your solicitor to send a letter stating that due to stalling you have now changed your demands and will increase your demands by 10% for every week this goes on...

He has done everything to slow the whole process down. Not sure if he's been advised to do this by his solicitor or if he just thinks if he ignores for as long as possible I will get fed up and drop it.
When my solicitor asked him months ago to make a reasonable financial settlement, instead of making an offer, his solicitor asked my solicitor to tell them how much I wanted, so more dawdling.
Am seriosly considering justilou's advice, but is it legal?

Don't want to freak you out, but my 'father ' stalled for about 17 years.

Left my mum with a £40k legal aid bill (as she got the 'only' asset, claimed he wasn't working)

So throw your toys out of your pram, and tell him now that due to his delay you now want 60/40 as if he doesn't fight it it shows he's not that bothered

Do it.

Yabu sorry. He's being a knob but that doest equate to a higher settlement for you. Take the moral high ground and ask your solicitor to put some deadines stating that he us being unreasonably slow.

Start fighting..
He fights back

You employ laywers,
He employs lawyers....

They get rich...
Both of you get poor.. What's not to like?

PS why are you divorcing?
I have seen many women who view a man as a meal ticket to be used for having children. Have kids and start pushing their husband out the house. Ignore him until he finds someone else.. (happened to my brother) .. then claim infedelity..

OTOH, is he controling and emotionally abusive?

Either way, best keep the lawyers at distance. In the end you have to begin a new life and being in debt for legal expenses is not much help.,
