When I was about 20 my neighbour's mum taught me the basic granny square and I've really only ever done hats, mittens and blankets until I had the breakdown at Xmas and I needed something to keep my hands occupied with the tablets I'm on and just followed more and more patterns and done quite a few cute little things over the past few months.
