Have sold stuff before, had payment and then arranged them to collect. This buyer asked for my address and said he needs to pay and collect. I've said I want payment before I give out my address. AIBU?

Definitely cash on collection. Anything else leaves you open to unscrupulous buyers.

birdlady eBay would have refunded as well. They always side with the buyer. No reason to have insisted on Paypal.

As a seller I always state cash on collection and I've refunded the Paypal of people who've paid that way before, and asked them to bring cash on collection. Everyone has been happy to do that when I explain the reasoning.

Don't under ANY circumstances give out your address. EVER.

My cousin did this and then her bank account was emptied and her name got changed and her husband left her.
