Husband being a numpty! Kids making fairy cakes, we make them all the time. I usually supervise baking and make cakes, husband is an enthusiastic eater of said cakes.

Numpty husband told the kids not to put paper cases into the bun tin before filling with batter as they would "definitely burn". Result = cakes stuck to tin, pissed off kids, me running to shop for more butter. How can you get to your mid 40s, live with someone who bakes for 20 years and NOT KNOW HOW CAKE CASES WORK???

The tablespoon for teaspoon one is a fairly common error - sure I've seen someone on Bake Off do that!
