Can't deal with the tiredness from a non-sleeping toddler

Just a rant/moan really. We had about one glorious month when 15 month old slept through the night. For the last 5 weeks he's woken at 12.30/1 and 4, then up for the day at 6. I'm SO tired.

I'm FED UP. Fed up of not being able to enjoy something on telly at 9, as it means I'll be knackered the next day. Fed up of having a dirty/messy house as if he sleeps in the day I jump back into bed myself. Fed up of everything feeling like a huge effort because I'm so tired.

I'm getting over an infection so it seems worse at the moment. I'm back at work in 2 weeks and honestly don't know how I'm going to manage Sad

Any tips on how to cope with not enough sleep??

Red Bull and flapjack got me through the non-sleeping years. All 3.5 of them. Sad

Update... We had 2 nights of 12 hour sleeps! I had to go in his room and check him after 9, honestly couldn't believe it!

However, the first of his canines has broken through, and last night was awful. He only slept between 1-4am. Consequently, today was the lowest I've felt.

How do people go on to have baby no 2??? 😣

Ds2 (16mo) is the same. Wakes up to every single hour in the night, a good night is only 2 wakings, then up at 5am. I am exhausted.

kitchenwitch sounds awful! Why do you think he wakes so often?

Another co sleeper here. We all sleep brilliantly.

Don't drop the nap! If DC needs a nap let him nap and you sleep too. Lack of sleep is horrible.
If you know he's not hungry, thirsty, or has a soiled nappy then try to ignore him when he wakes in the night. It may take a few nights but he'll learn to resettle himself.
It doesn't last forever but longer than you'd thinkConfused Catch up on sleep at the weekends taking it in turns to sleep late and take toddler out to the park.Flowers
