Email received today from a lady asking our company for sponsorship...

Please can your company send us lots of £££££
Signed,
Miss Sponsorship
X

I think it's unprofessional & makes her look like a fanny?

Random kisses on the end of texts are bad enough but an email from a business to another business from a lady I've never met & never will?

You wouldn't know me if you walked past me in the street, certainly wouldn't kiss me so why is it appropriate on a work email??

Makes me want to direct her mail right into the junk folder...

Am I just grumpy & BU?

You are not wrong Greenlass! No X in emails! I also deal with charities / sponsorships at work and I expect those I have contact with to treat this professionally even if it's not their "proper" job. No kisses, no exclamation marks, actual proper words helps too.
