I would love this but I've never spotted anyone.

I have a few times seen a thread title and instantly thought of a recent situation with a friend, but once opened realise straight away its not them.

The other day I was at the pub and I shit you not a kid was called Tinkerbell. About 8 years old. Shocking.

Someone did that to me once, and I really did not like it. I'm sure she did not mean anything malicious by it, but it made me feel very uncomfortable - it was almost stalkerish. Eventually she came clean in RL on having recognised me OL. Shortly after that, I started namechanging.

A couple of years ago i was using AIBU to have a few good old (quite identifiable) moans about my NCT group. Then I twigged that one of them posted here and would have probably read my posts.

I - completely by chance - stumbled across a RL friend on another forum. It just felt wrong to be reading their posts. To the extent I don't really use that forum any more.

I think if my friend had wanted to post something personal/tricky she would NC for obvious reasons.

I'm talking about the odd noticing she's posted a funny BUT COMPLETELY INNOCUOUS comment on a thread I'm reading/posting on and sometimes -ONCE- cutely ref-ing her.

Oh Kitten I'm not saying that you're weird or creepy! Just that it was for me. It stopped feeling creepy when she asked me leading questions that made it obvious she knew my posting name, with lots of silly winks and grins.

I posted a photo on a "what is the ugliest thing in your house" thread, and my friend recognised it And told me. I don't think p

I figure there must be other people here I know, but I've not spotted any.

My old housemate from uni used a forum and someone told me her name with a hint I should read it. It was excruciatingly embarrassing reading it because she'd posted pics of me and our other housemate with all this lesbian porno chat which others had responded too.

Then a few weeks later she called us whores on one of her posts and the adoration stopped. I was very glad but not big enough to actually mention it to her!
