Mummaaaaaah · 18/08/2016 16:30

Yes but maximum 20 minutes or I wake up fuzzy and in a foul mood.

WhoKnowsWhereTheTimeG0es · 18/08/2016 16:32

Not unless I'm ill, no. Even if I'm tired it wouldn't really occur to me.

Poocatcherchampion · 18/08/2016 16:32

Yep. I put all 3 preschoolers to bed and go for it. 40 lovely minutes today Grin

onecurrantbun1 · 18/08/2016 16:34

If I can get away with it! I have 3 under 5 so aim for at least a nap a week (for me) as youngest isn't sleeping through yet. On a Saturday we take them National Trusting and all have an hour when we get home.

BennyTheBall · 18/08/2016 16:35

I had about 2 hours this afternoon.

I love a nap.

mrsmugoo · 18/08/2016 16:36

I'm terrible at napping during the day. Occasionally I will nap around 3/4pm but only if I'm ill or have had a particularly bad night with the baby.

MyBreadIsEggy · 18/08/2016 16:36

I'm pregnant, massive and knackered so I've been having a nap when my 15 month old naps Smile

pensivepolly · 18/08/2016 16:38

I don't manage a nap as often as I'd like, but 20-30 minutes' sleep in the afternoon and I'm a new woman - the last part of the day is so much pleasanter!

CwtchyQ · 18/08/2016 16:38

I do, but I'm off sick at the moment with a pregnancy related ishoo. It's nice, but I find that if it's longer than 30 mins I wake up all anxious!

Eminybob · 18/08/2016 16:39

Sometimes when DS is napping.
I did today, but only for about half an hour, because I also wanted to use the time to watch last nights eastenders and have a brew in peace. I will be gutted when he starts dropping his nap. He has a good 2 hours usually.

LivingOnTheDancefloor · 18/08/2016 16:40

I sometimes try to nap when the children do, unfortunately it seems that they then wake up as soon as I drift off to sleep. When I don't try to nap, then they oversleep Hmm

lulucappuccino · 18/08/2016 16:41

Every day, workout fail. Around 40 mins, in bed, every afternoon.

lulucappuccino · 18/08/2016 16:42

Without, not workout!

rorydory · 18/08/2016 16:42

Oh i love a nap. I want one. I'm back at work and I need one, this meeting is SO BORING.

CheeseFan · 18/08/2016 16:42

I do like an afternoon nap at the weekend but if I'm really tired it can go on for 3 hours! Blush

It takes me a while afterwards to feel normal again but then I have way more energy than I would have had.

DramaAlpaca · 18/08/2016 16:45

I often take naps. I try to keep to a 20 minute power nap otherwise I'm groggy when I wake up.

Memoires · 18/08/2016 16:54

I hate sleeping in the day, I find it impossible to wake up properly again, and then really hard to sleep that night. If I fall asleep in the afternoon a few days in a row, I can feel myself becoming nocturnal!

But you do it if you're tired, I know not everyone's like I am, and if you can get a nap in, have it!

BummyMummy77 · 18/08/2016 17:11

Stupid thread. Now I'm dying for a nap (even though it's only midday here) and I can't because ds has already been asleep for two hours and will wake just as I drop off.

idontlikealdi · 18/08/2016 17:12

I love a power nap sadly haven't had one for about 5 years.

Sallystyle · 18/08/2016 17:13

I love a nap.

Have one very often. I am a night owl and I suffer off and on with insomnia.

No, not having a nap does not mean I sleep better in the evening, unfortunately.

My nap has to be late morning if not I feel like shit for the rest of the day.

DameDiazepamTheDramaQueen · 18/08/2016 17:16

I've just woken up from a mammoth nap on the sofa,a bomb wouldn't have woken me- I was shattered and I don't even have small kids!

JohnLithgowsLargeForehead · 18/08/2016 17:16

I love naps, have napped often since having DS. As a baby I'd get the odd hour here and there and now he's a toddler he naps 3 hrs straight. It makes up for the night sleep! Sometimes I didn't feel the need to but have since being pregnant again. I sleep better in a nap than I do at night!

legotits · 18/08/2016 17:16

Just up from mine!

Like a new woman, Ish....

frankie001 · 18/08/2016 17:27

I am well known for having a nap, then waking several hours later not knowing what day it is!

spanky2 · 18/08/2016 17:30

Yes, but I have depression and anxiety which are exhausting. It's my goal to stay awake more days in a week as I would like to get a job.
