AIBU or are Evans bikes?

Sorry bit of a boring one, but I am upset about the situation, and am wondering what is reasonable?
My dh bought me a new bike so I can ride to work and go on bike rides at the beginning of the summer.
I have used it probably about 10 to 15 times and it has about 4 chips in the bright blue paintwork. I ride on-road or cycle paths only.
My dh is into cycling and has about 4 bikes in the garage at any time, I also have a bike which is about 10 years old which was too heavy for me which is why we got a new one. None of them have chips in them and are several years old and well used.
My bike is stored on rubber hooks in the garage well out of the way of all the other crap and I really take care of my things, I didn't have much money growing up and and not extravagant so when I get something new I really take care of it. New bike cost £600 originally (but we got it in sale as was last years model)
We asked Evans bikes to give us some paint to touch up the chips, but they don't have any. They are also disappointed on our behalf that the paint is chipped, but other than that don't give a shit. The paint is Matt glow in the dark, other wise I would just go to halfords and get a close match, but it would look shit.
AIBU to expect a better response from Evans? I genuinely thought they would offer a replacement frame/respray as by this rate by the end of the year I an going to have no paint left on the damn thing!

I'm sorry, YABU. I've cycled all my life, stone chips are a fact of life on pedals. Evans won't have touch up paint, no bike shops ever do. You need to contact the manufacturers.if it's a special finish, it may not be a simple touch up. If all else fails, use nail varnish. If you can't find any toning colour, at least cover the chips on clear nail varnish or heli tape.

Could you vinyl wrap the bike with clear vinyl? Not sure how that would effect the glow in the dark-iness though.

I have several expensive bikes that are very precious to me and I am always super careful when manoeurvering them/storing them etc.

Nonetheless, they do have unexplained chips in the paint. It happens. I don't think Evans are necessarily at fault.

I really like the colour of the bike!

I have a chip in my bike on the flattened top of the cross bar so quite an odd place for a stone flying up chip - no idea how it happened.

I'm not bothered in the slightest though. A bike is there to be used - for transport and or fun. It's not something to be kept in a glass case on display! I appreciate that it's expensive and you like taking care of things - but forget the chips and get out and have fun! Riding it is better than looking at it!

Nice bike & loving the colour. However, YABU

What make is the bike?

They do get chipped in use but it also sounds like the paint may not be very hard wearing.

I think you would need to approach the manufacturer to get paint, but unlikely to be successful - maybe try a craft shop for some metal paint in a similar colour?

Best advice would be to use the bike a lot and then it won't be new and then you won't care any more - at the same time you benefit from lots of relaxing bike rides!
