Probably irrational but I want to scream.
My Husband has acquired the habit of holding his cheek towards me, insipidly, as though to demand a "peck on the cheek" when he goes out .
I just want to tell him to frig off. If he wants a bloody kiss, he can make some goddam effort.

I CANNOT believe how much this pisses me off.

I'd just say "What's wrong with you exercising your mouth and kissing me?"
That's of course if you want him to.

GashleyCrumbTiny · 13/08/2016 11:59

I don't understand why this would bug you.

But if it does, have you tried turning round, bending over, pointing at your rear and responding in kind?

BeingATwatItsABingThing · 13/08/2016 12:00

Another vote for licking him here.

Somerville · 13/08/2016 12:02

Why can't you just have a conversation about it? Confused

It sounds like a really bizarre thing to have got to the stage where you're so fucked off.

SoupDragon · 13/08/2016 12:11

Why can't you just have a conversation about it?

This.

BastardGoDarkly · 13/08/2016 12:12

Urgh, I'd hate that too, but my husband wouldn't do it again if I told him to stop, what does your husband say when you tell him you don't like it?

LumpySpacedPrincess · 13/08/2016 12:21

You've asked him to stop and he's still doing it? Yuk, second blow a raspberry on his cheek.

Aspergallus · 13/08/2016 12:22

Would annoy me too.

I'd ignore and force him to use his words.

VladmirsPoutine · 13/08/2016 12:40

"entitled" I think we've reached a MN peak Confused

soyvanillalatte · 13/08/2016 12:44

I should LTB?

OP posts:
BastardGoDarkly · 13/08/2016 12:56

Leave him? Have you tried talking to him? Hmm

TroysMammy · 13/08/2016 13:33

Reiterating lick it.

maras2 · 13/08/2016 13:50

I'm too Irish to put up with that shit.My measured response if DH dared to do this would be 'WHAT THE FUCK DO YOU THINK YOU'RE DOING?'So yes it would really annoy me. Angry It's never happened in 46 years though. Smile

Pimmmms · 13/08/2016 13:54

Lick his cheek instead, I guarantee you he will NEVER off you his cheek again.

Somerville · 13/08/2016 14:06

I don't see why people would be so annoyed by their partner liking being kissed on the cheek. But whatever, OP seems to just want an excuse to leave him.

IPityThePontipines · 13/08/2016 15:21

Looking at active, MN seems to be an exceptionally grumpy place today.

Just tell him you don't like it. Problem solved.

AmserGwin · 13/08/2016 16:39

Wouldn't bother me personally, try flicking him in the cheek if it annoys you though, or just ignore him

unimagmative13 · 13/08/2016 16:42

I wouldn't mind that. My OH likes to poke his penis in my direction then get offended when I tell him to fuck off. A cheek would be lovely.

dudsville · 13/08/2016 16:43

No, I don't think this is something that is going to get a unified response. It wouldn't bother me. I wouldn't associate something my OH does with royalty-ness and, as I'm generally quite fond of him I'd just kiss him and think nothing of it.

Ed1tY0urPr0f1le · 13/08/2016 17:08

I think it's the fact that you've told him you don't like it and yet he still does it that's the problem rather than the cheek itself - some people wouldn't mind or would even find it endearing but you don't like it and that's fine (it would piss me off too!)

I would just remind him every time - just don't give in and kiss him or he'll keep doing it!
