Exercising about 5-6 hours a day and on a very low calorie diet in order to get a slim body to try and impress my 'rough boy' crush.!! - Council estate, bad boy - you get the picture.

Managed to lose a stone in a month.

Who said feminism was dead?

I was about to start university. Was it really that long ago? Shock

Salmotrutta · 13/08/2016 00:50

I was researching degree courses I could do.

And attending many weddings of friends.

And anticipating DC2 starting school.

And working as a barmaid to contribute to the family pot.

swearymad · 13/08/2016 00:52

I was 25, slim and gorgeous. I am still 25 in my head.

NonnoMum · 13/08/2016 00:55

At Drama school. dreaming of a part on The Bill.

Glastokitty · 13/08/2016 00:55

I'd just started my first proper job in London, and was quite the girl about town. I was dating the son of an Earl, the owner of a car show room, and a builder, I married the builder five years later! Grin

JigglypuffsCaptor · 13/08/2016 01:11

I was one, probably sucking on carpets.

MeAndMy3LovelyBoys · 13/08/2016 01:36

I was nearly 2 so probably getting up to mischief and being cute Grin

MamMamMam · 13/08/2016 01:49

I was 13 and thought i was fatGrin I was also dreaming of the day I could talk to a boy without blushing.

I read a steady flow of mills and boon which I stole and replaced every time I visited my aunt. I also spent my days recording the top 40 from the radio. Good times.

Planning DD's 15th birthday party.OMG Ican't believe that we're now planning her 40th. Shock Smile

Chihuahualala · 13/08/2016 06:56

I was 19, slim and gorgeous - even had some random bloke come up to me in the street in that summer to tell me I was beautiful (preens)

I was shagging a fuck buddy at weekends but was a few weeks off meeting my first live in boyfriend, we were together nearly 4 years.

The music was brilliant that summer, "set adrift on memory bliss"

I was working in a bank and out 3/4 nights a week we all managed to meet in places without the assistance of mobile phones.

Ahhh 1991 was one of my favourite years.

RosieWithTheGoodHair · 13/08/2016 07:17

Maureen that's bloody lovely! Congrats!

Summer holiday from university. Working in Birmingham. Writing letters (Hmm!!) to my boyfriend (now dh).

RosieWithTheGoodHair · 13/08/2016 07:31

Yome 'letters'? What is this?

Did you keep his responses?

user1466795981 · 13/08/2016 07:50

Chihuahualala - I loved 1991 as well - I remember that song - "I'm too sexy" was the anthem of the summer by Right Said Fred!! -

"Apparently Nothing" - Young Disciples (I could go on...)

peachmama · 13/08/2016 08:54

A (fairly obnoxious probably) 12 year old...18 days to becoming a teen. DD is currently bawling head off at being made to have the nap she wants Confused. Lord knows what is to come when she hits that teenage milestone....DP and I are quaking!.

brambly · 13/08/2016 10:20

Two weeks old!

Chihuahualala · 13/08/2016 11:30

Ah how could I forget "I'm too sexy" ?

Sunshine on a rainy day.... Makes my soul makes my soul drift drift away!

Oh and. Summer summer time ....just sit back and unwind ...

Ace!

user1466795981 · 13/08/2016 11:35

I did not buy 'Everything I do' by Bryan Adams! which was number one for ever !! - I like most of his songs just not that one.

I also remember - 'Now that we've found love' - Heavy D and the Boys
Winter in July - Bomb the Bass

I was 18, not much care in the world. Liked to rock out. In 4 months time my life as well as my parents would be changed forever as my 25 year old brother would be killed in a road accident.

ZippyNeedsFeeding · 13/08/2016 12:15

I was enjoying the glorious summer between school and university. I had a job I liked, with people who liked to party, so we had about 3 works outings a week! I was having an absolute blast, and everything seemed possible. I was going to conquer the world and look fabulous doing it.
Happy days!

user1466795981 · 13/08/2016 16:44

This is how I felt too!

Happy Sad

morningtoncrescent62 · 13/08/2016 17:55

DD1 was a baby and I was pregnant again - and in a relationship which was clearly going down the pan, with no job, no qualifications.

Please can we do 20 years ago? 30 and 25 were both a bit grim!
