When you first met

His utter lack of ego, despite being a crucial, very well respected, very well connected, mega popular member of the project team we were both working on. I was a relative pleb in that particular scenario. 15 years (married 10) so far

He was my best friend first, he picked me up when I was down, made an insane effort to be a good male role model for my ds (2), made me laugh, is the kindest and most thoughtful man I know. The clincher is how much he obviously adores ds, and how much ds adores him back. It makes my heart swell.

And he genuinely inspires me to be abetted version of myself.

Quiet and a bit geeky, and funny too with a lovely, kind smile. He as the first person I ever met with whom I felt really safe.
