So AIBU before I start researching to think that daycare providers would give me a cheaper day rate for 930-230 daycare? Thanks

I was a cm for years and charged by the hour, those hours would have been ideal for me.

Ds2's preschool also charged by the hour, he went 9-30 but we paid for 9-4.

You should be able to find somewhere.

Sorry, 9-3.30.

My local private nursery offers "school hours" for two three year olds 15 free hours. It's two days a week 8- 3.30 , £2 a day for lunch.

"Why should it be cheaper???"

Because your child uses less hours. Quite simple really cream

tina363 · 10/08/2016 09:35

My place in belfast does it by hours. £5.50 per hour so your child could go for 2 hours a week so you could do your shopping if you really wanted to.

I'm a Childminder and for me those hours would be perfect as it wouldn't interfere with school runs. Maybe give local Childminders a try?

MoonStar07 · 10/08/2016 09:54

Yes a number of childminders pass my way to as I'm on a school run road so I'm going to contact some people thanks everyone
