Only Sloaney types call poo, 'pooh'.

I've just mentally relocated you to Southwold.

PepsiPenguins · 09/08/2016 00:51

I suppose I would have given a reprieve for this too :) only it would have to be a KFC creme ball

I now really want Oreos and Icecream :)

Just5minswithDacre · 09/08/2016 00:51

Or interned you psychically in Swaffham.

Yes that.

MiscellaneousAssortment · 09/08/2016 00:52

Ermaghad sounds like a fancy new baby name... Ermaghad, Ermaghad, see, it has a nice ring to it!

BaronessBomburst · 09/08/2016 00:53

Ermahgad for a girl.
Ermahgad-den for a boy.

HoneyDragon · 09/08/2016 00:55

I went to Swaffham once.

I wouldn't be surprised if a poo bear turns up next tonight Confused If it doesn't get eaten of course

Ailicece · 09/08/2016 00:58

Don't be too hard on DH Honey, the Heffalump made him do it!

Just5minswithDacre · 09/08/2016 00:58

That's a great anecdote honey. Not up there with the inmac one yet, but has potential Grin

HoneyDragon · 09/08/2016 01:03

It gets better....

I went to a pub for dinner and ordered calves liver gravy and mashed potato.

But there was no liver.

It wasn't on my plate when it arrived.

The chef maintained he cooked it and put it there.

It had been the last of the liver.

I was offered sausages.

It was a thrilling evening.

I like that.

A low- key offal mystery Smile

HoneyDragon · 09/08/2016 01:08

I suspected canine interference myself.

Can we at least cast some aspersions around wildly before you wind it up?

Feellikearightungreatfulcow · 09/08/2016 01:20

SWAFFHAM??!!

OMG I might know some people on here... like in real life

HoneyDragon · 09/08/2016 01:21

Did the people you know find my liver?

OP posts:
Feellikearightungreatfulcow · 09/08/2016 01:29

Not sure anyone in Swaffham cooks anything quite so sofeestikayted as liver Grin so I couldn't possibly say!

Feellikearightungreatfulcow · 09/08/2016 01:31

Shit! Unless you meant your actual liver in which case, bloody hell, it's certainly gone downhill since I left!

(Not that I would have in any way contributed to any higher standards myself)

ThumbWitchesAbroad · 09/08/2016 01:41

honey - you iz bad. Grin

Really bizarre about your missing liver - maybe the waiter took a fancy to it on the way and stuffed it in his/her mouth? I'd be totally appalled if there had been any dog involvement in a pub, yuk! [blech]

WhatTheActualFugg · 09/08/2016 01:59

Does Waitrose sell liver?

Pooh Bear is called Pooh because of a sort of sigh-like 'Pooh' noise someone makes. Either Pooh or Christopher Robin. It's in the first paragraph of the first Pooh book.

ThumbWitchesAbroad · 09/08/2016 03:00

Only naice lamb liver, I should think - none of that pig stuff. Wink

AcrossthePond55 · 09/08/2016 03:35

LTP(oo)!!!!

IDismyname · 09/08/2016 04:19

Last time I passed through Swaffham, it did indeed have a Waitrose... So maybe naice liver is on the menu more often than you think Grin

MiscellaneousAssortment · 09/08/2016 04:50

I can't sleep as I'm worried about work. Can I volunteer the liver of my superior who is being very unpleasant.

Does liver taste different if from a delightful sweet natured source? Or go rancid and leathery if those are the describing words you'd use for the erm, liver host?!

ThumbWitchesAbroad · 09/08/2016 05:10

Liver definitely tastes different depending on who/what it came from. (hi Misc!)
For e.g. - pig liver is very coarse and can be quite unpleasant to eat, and was more commonly used in school dinners, iirc.
Lamb liver is much finer in texture and less "livery" in taste, IME.
Not sure I've ever had calf liver to compare! But would imagine it's somewhere in between the two?

Your superior's liver would probably be quite bitter and curl at the edges, sadly. Wink

HoneyDragon · 09/08/2016 07:56

I should say I was secretly thrilled the liver disappeared, I don't like liver. But our host insisted I would and should try it and had, had just enough wine at this point to agree.
