AIBU to think wall hung toilets have no place in a public toilet

Been to the cinema today. It's just been refitted and all of the toilets are wall hung

I'm sure they can take plenty of weight but I don't trust them -especially considering the volume of traffic -so to speak

AIBU to think toilets that are used with such frequency should be solid, sturdy and with a pedestal?

I like loos to have a nice pedestal, to be oval shape, and to have a flush handle. Not into these modern loos

Surely you don't sit on public toilets no matter how they're fixed?

Cracks in the grout are irrelevant if the metal frame has been bolted in properly - just shit tiling

We had a high level cistern in the first (age 0-10) house I lived in. The term "pulling the chain" = flushing seems such a throwback now, but I remember using it. fogeytastic

My house in on a hill and if you place a childs ball on the floor it'll roll downwards. Now if my bog was mounted on the wall it would not be straight the left side would slope. Don't fancy having a sloping flush you never know what'll miss the u bend and bite you back on the bum.

I'm not the only one wondering if they would ever just fall off the walls! I didn't know the pedestal was just hidden behind the wall.
