I know this isn't really an AIBU but what is your favourite flower or plant?

My favourites are Ranunculus, Hydrangeas and Croton plants.

Sweet pea, forget-me-not, freesia, honeysuckle. I love daisies & speedwell in a lawn & clover.

WilburIsSomePig · 03/08/2016 19:30

Sweet peas, gerbera, passion flower - so beautiful.

RuggerHug · 03/08/2016 19:39

Looks and scent are roses and lilies. Roses because they grew in my grandparents garden and my Grandad was so proud of them, so you knew it was amazing if he cut off one for you Smile Lilies because my Mam loves them and I associate them with good times. Purely for scent, jasmine......drool/sigh.
Hate daffodils though because of nothing their fault Sad

Chlorinatedfrontbum · 03/08/2016 19:45

Passiflora (sp?) so exotic looking!

Iloveowls2 · 03/08/2016 19:52

Cream roses and dark pink peonies

PatMullins · 03/08/2016 19:52

Peonies here too, just beautiful.

Bettercallsaul1 · 03/08/2016 19:54

Roses - but only the old-fashioned kind with a scent.

thetemptationofchocolate · 03/08/2016 19:55

I like astilbes, they have nice foliage, long-lasting flowers, good autumn colour and the slugs don't like them :)

For scent I like honeysuckle.

hollyisalovelyname · 03/08/2016 19:55

Pale pink tulips
Sweet pea
Pale pink roses
Peonies (pink)

Palomb · 03/08/2016 19:56

winterinmadeira · 03/08/2016 19:57

Deep blue irises and also daisies

Littledafty · 03/08/2016 19:59

Sweet peas, love them, mine still haven't come out, getting impatient.
When I had my first DC my mum brought a bunch into the hospital, it was lovely.

Daisies and sweetpeas because the smell reminds me of my late Mum...her favourite was lillie of the valley

beadyboo · 03/08/2016 19:59

Hydrangeas, but I can't seem to grow themSad
Tulips as they indicate the start of spring for me, and the smell of honeysuckle.

Thisismyalias · 03/08/2016 20:00

mrssmith79 · 03/08/2016 20:44

Blue Iris
Gerbera
Hydrangeas
Calla lily
All beautiful and all have different special associations.

Rainbunny · 03/08/2016 21:00

I adore peonies and cherry blossom branches.

EndofSummerLooming · 03/08/2016 21:10

YABU. How can there just be one.

The snowdrops, followed by the spring bulbs and magnolias, then bluebells
The blossom, choisia, rhododendrons,
Ceanothus, cystus, things I don't know the name of
Peonies, herbaceousness, roses, the vulgar displays of geraniums, petunias, sunflowers, fuschia
Hydrangeas, love lies bleeding, campanulas, alliums,
Dahlias, gladioli, chrysanths, Michaelmas daisies
Holly berries and evergreens

The scent of honeysuckle and Jasmin and other heady blends.

If I had to chose - a winter rose, a water lily with teeny frog on its leaf, a magnificent peony, the marvel of glossy, waxy holly berries when it's bitter.

Yes, YABU
