It does sound like the kind of thing you might be into until you're about 15. I never get anything like this. I must only know sensible people. Or maybe just not very many people.

I've seen three very well educated (I mean, PhD in a hard science, a law degree and so on..they're not daft) people on my FB post the 'six books' scheme. I did comment about the illegality of pyramid schemes and how the maths doesn't really work out in anyone's favour. I couldn't believe that they would be taken in by it. Clearly, they're not alone!

Honestly hotdiggedy the person who sent me this guff IS eminently sensible - except, apparently, when it comes to angels prancing around my head! She is in her 50's, works in medicine, travels extensively etc etc - and to look at her you wouldn't know she was affected by superstitious nonsense. If these people came with a warning sign tattooed on their heads life would be SO much easier!

The one I dislike at the moment is the one that starts 'girls can be mean' or something and the poster posts several pictures of themselves and challenges a friend to do the same. Because 99% of people's Facebook photos aren't already vacuous selfies

Oh it's the 'some girls are mean' bit that pisses me off the most

I have s friend who keeps posting this vacuous shite and somehow despite never liking or copying and pasting this, I never get culled despite all the ever present threats to do do. Maybe I'll just have to bother my arse to do so instead!

I never 'like' it or share it either - sometimes when the devil takes me and it's a particularly stupid thing I link to HoaxSlayer - that seems to drive them insane with indignation so that might be worth a try!
