To ring my neighbour's doorbell every time his friends ring mine?

My skanky downstairs neighbour is dealing drugs. He's on unconditional bail for intent to supply class a, b & c and the trial is in the autumn. We had a drugs house closure order so he was locked out from January to April (he owns his flat) as all of last year we were woken up all hours of the night from people wanting sex and drugs. He was on best behaviour when he first got back but now his friends are calling all the time - last Sunday at 6:50am, just now this evening, last Tuesday at 8am. No middle of the night calls yet, but last year it was at least one a week between 2-4am.

WIBU to go downstairs and tell him off every time one of his fucking friends/customers interrupts me? I think shouting at him in my pyjamas whilst not dignified might make me feel less impotent.

Alternatively you could make up loads of little baggies of icing sugar and hand them over for £50 a time?

My situation is just a tad different, I unknowingly moved into the old dealers house! Lovely 3 bed, nice area you wouldn't have guessed it Blush I get people off their face knocking on my door, shouting through the letter box and yelling through open windows. Its slowly dying down (since I put a CCTV sign and 'beware of the dog's sign up) but he just didn't bother to tell them he'd moved Blush I have two kids and considering they come at 2am-7am I'm not well pleased. Wish I knew a forwarding address so I could send envelopes full of fucking glitter to his house Grin

I lived in a flat next door to drug dealers years ago. One night there were customers out in the corridor, the dealers were clearly not, but didn't stop them braying on the door & shouting. Apparently one very angry pajama clad, sleep deprived, short, angry 20 year old opening the flat door and yelling at them about keeping it down worked. The only response from them was sheepish looks & apologies. They kept it down from then on. Not sure I'd do it again though.

Personally I wouldn't get involved, I would keep reporting it to the police. As things stand, there is no evidence that he is continuing to deal despite the drugs house closure order. I would also keep reporting it to the freeholder / property manager, by phone at the time and in writing, and ask for a reduction in any rent or service charge that you pay due to the inconvenience ( I don't expect you're entitled to any, but it might encourage them to do something about it).

I would also ask them to make sure that the signs about Cctv are very prominent by the entry system, and explicitly say that images will be passed on to the police.

I don't think putting yourself in danger is the answer.
