I reserved an Designafriend Elle doll at my local Argos for my dd birthday. She'd gone on about it since Christmas (they'd sold out everywhere ). It was her birthday on Sunday, so I checked the stock online (one left) and reserved it. Got my email confirmation and off i went to buy it. Fast forward to Sunday. Dd opens her doll, cracks the biggest smile, smile slowly disappears. She utters the words (ever so quietly) this isn't Elle. It's someone else. No hissy fits were thrown, she took the doll upstairs to play with. Me? I'm fuming! Got in touch with argos who told me 'yeah Elle being phased out to be replaced my Mia'. So why the hell was Elle being advertised?? Why does my receipt say Elle Doll?? Got another email from them this morning telling me 'the catalogue number you provided is for the Mia Doll'. I can just imagine them sat there sneering 'oh here's another one reserved and bought wrong doll'. Well Argos I have the email confirmation stating I had reserved the Elle Doll. Ha! AIBU to just want what I reserved?? Or to be so angry?? Maybe it's just hormones, or more caffeine needed but i am fuming!! Do I keep at them to give me what I ordered or just drop it?? YANBU or over-reacting (well, minus the hyperbole about Argos staff sneering Grin). Glad your daughter wasn't too upset but that doesn't make it okay.

Twitter all the way. I've had great results on Twitter.

I've used Twitter to great effect too, I just wish that companies didn't wait for you to go on social media to do the right thing. And I say that as someone who manages and administers the Twitter account at work.
