to throw my neighbour's cat's poo over the fence?

So , so tired of neighbour's cats. We are surrounded. Today the immediate neighbour's crapped on some newly dug earth. I've used a trowel to pick it and up throw over their side. I thought they were out but don't think they were. Maybe they saw, maybe the just thought it as raining cat poo. A couple of months ago I lost 2 new, small perennials because of their cat- newly planted, £5 each - the cat crapped and dug around them. They died partly due to having leaves destroyed and buried in earth. I've lost count of the cost of seedlings that have had a similar fate.
I am totally fed up with handling stinking cat poo, finding it in the soil when gardening, on my shoes, and having another of their cats spraying my flower tubs.

No cat touches the concrete flags in my yard for long enough to DO a poo before five hairy hounds encourage it to take its leave immediately, swiftly and forthwith.

They of course all shit here but its DOG poo not cat poo, dog poo is far less offensive (and mine eat a raw diet so thats even less offensive)... we have a manhole cover that I have arranged in such a fashion as to leave a slot to sweep the poops down daily straight into sewage system! Tidy indeed!

I was in your position where we used to live and merrily dropped it back over the fence every day. Not flinging it exactly. Just a delicate sort of plop onto the opposite side.

Then we adopted a greyhound. Cat found somewhere else to poo pdq.

I just let my dog out if I see one - if any cats are stupid enough to come into our garden they'd better be able to get out pretty quick.

I see the convo has moved onto dogs which was my suggestion. Do you have a friend with a dog who could perhaps play in your garden once a week? A few dog widdles (preferably not from a bitch to protect your lawn...) and maybe a bit of, ahem, kiss chase might help deter?

Super soaker and rocks stopped cats from shitting in my garden.

I second cayenne pepper.

We had a cat poo problem when DC were toddlers, it was disgusting and dangerous.

We liberally sprinkled cayenne pepper on the lawn and the problem stopped completely.

It always astounds me on these threads where people are horrified at the idea of cats being kept confined on their owners property. Most councils in Australia now have at least a cat curfew, if not a total ban on cats roaming. All those 'untrainable' cats suddenly were able to cope quite well with being converted to indoor pets when the councils started trapping and fining.

Under no circumstances use JEYES FLUID! It's completely toxic to cats and the smell actually attracts cats.

BTY, was your neighbour hanging out the washing at the time? Grin
