It took 1 year with DD, and by then I was pregnant with DS.

DS is now 2 (Blush) and I'm nearly there - 73kg trying to get down to 70. A few more weeks I hope!

dinodiva · 23/07/2016 14:27

No idea. I don't own a set of scales so I don't know what I weighed before or what I weigh now. I was back in my pre pregnancy jeans by about 5-6 weeks after the birth and think I'm pretty much the same size now (DD is 10 months) that I was before although my boobs are somewhat more dangly

MissCalamity · 23/07/2016 14:32

2 years 3 months with DC1. DC2 is currently the same age & I am the same weight I was when I was about 7 months pregnant Shock

I only put on a stone & a half with each of them as well. Sad

nousernames · 23/07/2016 14:36

I second the poster who said its maternity leave weight that's the real problem.

NatureCreatesFreaks · 23/07/2016 15:00

An hour. I walked out of the hosp with my pre preg jeans on

CuppaSarah · 23/07/2016 15:04

I never will, I was badly underweight before dd1 I'd like to loose a couple pounds, but I'm pretty happy with my size now. I'd prefer not to have my mother apron though.

eurochick · 23/07/2016 15:09

I found most of it dropped off straight away but I was left with just under a stone. I have been trying so hard but it is tough going! Weight always just dropped off me before. I think turning 40 hasn't helped tbh. She's 2 now and I am still 2 pounds off my bfp weight (which was a bit heavier than my ideal after 4 rounds of IVF in a year).

MyBreadIsEggy · 23/07/2016 15:09

I had the most disgusting hyperemesis during the whole of my first pregnancy and lost weight initially from throwing up so much! Was hospitalised 4 times, and was weighed on my way into delivery suite the day my Dd was born and I'd gained 19lbs over my pre-pregnancy weight. I reckon it took a couple of weeks for my normal jeans to fit me, but took until my Dd was about 5 months for my belly to go from post-baby jiggle to what it was pre-pregnancy.....and now 14 months later I'm pregnant again and will have to do it all over again!!! 😫 Me and the gym are not friends....the gym is more like an annoying relative that I force myself to go and visit 😫

Underbeneathsies · 23/07/2016 15:19

I'm a different shape now, with a numb post section apron, so I'm two sizes bigger.
TBH losing weight isn't a priority, just getting in shape when all the nerves are cut, and I can't "just pull my stomach in" thanks mum

How are you all shaping up your tummies? By evening my tum is huge, and all I want to do is take off anything digging in and put on a soft top, yoga pants.

ShebaShimmyShake · 23/07/2016 15:25

Breastmilk is very calorific and yet breastfeeding doesn't seem to have helped much, even with a greedy guts cluster feeding boob monster. I know breastfeeding isn't an excuse to pig out and I've not been, but I don't understand how, given the calories and fat in milk, it's not better at shifting baby weight.

Maybebabybee · 23/07/2016 16:15

I've heard it's when you stop breastfeeding that the weight drops off clutches desperately at straws

Crunchymum · 24/07/2016 11:40

I've heard about the breastfeeding before.

I'm still feeding my 18mo.... I'm furiously clutching at straws too!!!

Crunchymum · 24/07/2016 11:42

Desperately clutches at straws (not furiously)

FluffyPanda · 24/07/2016 11:54

3.5years... And counting

DangerousBeanz · 24/07/2016 12:07

My eldest is 24..... I've never "got my figure back" . My youngest is 6. I've given up trying now.

Libitina · 24/07/2016 12:10

23 years and counting.......Sad

selsigfach · 24/07/2016 12:13

Two weeks, and then another half-stone. Breastfeeding is making me waste away.

Unthoughtknown · 24/07/2016 12:15

I put on 2 st 9 and took me 8 months to get back. Lost loads in the first few weeks and ages to loose last 10 lbs. slimming world helped as did a baby who only naps well in the Pram. I walk miles (and miles)

DameDiazepamTheDramaQueen · 24/07/2016 12:17

About a week,I was in pre pregnancy clothes within a week. Subsequently gained loads though Hmm

Leggytadpole · 24/07/2016 12:45

I breasted for well over a year and really struggled to lose the baby weight. I think that being constantly tired left me reaching for easy, unhealthy food (sticking a pizza in the oven takes no effort). It's only as my child has got older I've had time to go to the gym, I prepare healthy food for the both of us and the weight is finally coming off.

I remember reading that sleep deprivation leads to weight gain, I blame this!

Leggytadpole · 24/07/2016 12:48

*breastfed

RingUpRingRingDown · 24/07/2016 13:04

10 years after first pregnancy (3/4 years after the last) , but it has finally happened.

Combination of eating and drinking less and doing much more exercise. Having a Fitbit was the key thing in turning it round for me.

DeadGood · 24/07/2016 14:16

I'm another one of the "lost the weight in 2 weeks, gained it back during maternity leave" gang. I was fairly happy, but not completely surprised, to return to my original weight so fast - I've always been fairly small. But I wasn't prepared for the boredom/ease of access to food double whammy of maternity leave. :(
