DD(16) has been following the media attention being directed at the Off Grid Parents with interest (and incredulity . . .). She's looking forward to reading what the MN Jury has to say about this latest development!

If you persevere with the comments - and they do get a bit samey! - someone has posted a link to her husband's Go Fund Me page - he wants 50k for something. Not entirely sure what - something to do with Bamboo and writing a book. No donors yet though - can't think why!
These two are clearly on a bloody wind up - aren't they? They must be!

Cutecat78 · 22/07/2016 17:10

Where are the comments please?

ABloodyDifficultWoman · 22/07/2016 17:12

LurkingHusband · 22/07/2016 17:12

It's all part of the 70s revival ....

ABloodyDifficultWoman · 22/07/2016 17:12

The comments are right at the bottom of the begging page

PeekAtChu · 22/07/2016 17:16

Breast feed for as long as you want but if you don't give your child pain relief or anti biotics when they need them you are fucking bastard

^This. And yy to the poster who said that breast milk won't cure tropical diseases. This pair don't sound responsible enough to take care of a hamster never mind children.

You're on the wrong thread.

JinkxMonsoon · 22/07/2016 17:24

I love the way they justify rejecting modern medicine by saying "we use breastmilk for eye infections and lemon juice for colds!" like colds and eye infections are the only things to worry about.

They'd be first in the fucking queue for antibiotics if their kid was showing symptoms of meningitis... or would they? Confused

Mind you, I've heard enough Mumsnetters saying they won't ever give Calpol for fevers and pain, so nothing surprises me when it comes to refusing yucky poisonous medicine for one's precious children.

atomsatdawn · 22/07/2016 17:25

I would love to be self sufficient food wise if anyone fancies giving me a cottage and land...
The not vaccinating thing really pisses me off though.

ElspethFlashman · 22/07/2016 17:26

Yes get over to the other thread - we're at 16 pages of outrage! Grin

mamamea · 22/07/2016 17:26

sorry squoosh, post reported....

MrsJayy · 22/07/2016 17:30

Why did she only feed 1 child and not show pictures of her feeding the toddler?

Jasonandyawegunorts · 22/07/2016 17:33

You get to draw more attention to yourself breastfeeding a 5 year old.

theDudesmummy · 22/07/2016 17:41

Refuse modern medicine? They are going at some stage to end up falling foul of Social Services (and potentially with a dangerously ill child or even worse. What if their child developes appendicitis. Or meningitis?).

PersianCatLady · 22/07/2016 17:42

I don't understand how you can be self-sufficient but need £100,000 of strangers' money to be that way.

Also looking at how they intend to bring up their kids sounds like a nightmare.

MrsD28 · 22/07/2016 17:42

This has made my day. Twats.

I love how they won't give their kids shoes, but wear shoes themselves.

PersianCatLady · 22/07/2016 17:44

I have just read their "begging page" and to me I actually wonder how they have got the nerve to ask for this money.

MrsJayy · 22/07/2016 17:45

Ah of course its all part of the LOOK AT ME pish

MrsJayy · 22/07/2016 17:47

Yeah they dont want to feel life and germs on their feet just the baby

ishallconquerthat · 22/07/2016 17:50

I want to believe that this is some comedy act.

AcrossthePond55 · 22/07/2016 17:50

"I don't understand how you can be self-sufficient but need £100,000 of strangers' money to be that way."

Simples. If all of you give me sufficient money I won't have to earn it myself. See, that makes me self - sufficient.
