anyone else fed up with all the changes with the company? It is not what it was.

We have advertised with them for 8 years. 8 years ago it was clear and simple and people didn't pay to book. Now it is a nightmare.

Anyone else with a rental holiday property that can suggest an alternative?

Have you tried homeaway or tripadvisor? We have booked through them previously. Also Airbnb as people have said.

Home Away and TripAdvisor now all owned by Expedia.

And so charge you the guest upto 15% for a so called booking fee.

Was this thread resurrected just to advertise simplyowners.net Christiner? Hmm

We previously advertised on homeaway and as soon as they brought their "service fee" into effect, we began to do some research into alternative options. We just hated the idea that these greedy pigs would be making extra money from our bookings, and it´s extremely unfair to the holidaymakers.

We found rent-in-france.co.uk who are an advertising portal for French homes, a small Sussex based company who have a pretty substantial database. They charge a standard fee (which imo was reasonable again, 125.00 a year) they´ve got a great ical calendar system that is super easy to use and update, no booking fees and all the enquiries come straight to us. Their website looks nice too and most importantly for us, there´s no middle person involved. We took out our listing with them in 2016 and have renewed twice now. We will be sticking with them and would really recommend. www.rent-in-france.co.uk/
