Anyone's dc had the meningitis b vaccine done at boots?

Sorry posting here for a bit of traffic. Been looking around for somewhere to have dc's vaccinated for men b and it seems everywhere is over £150 per dose. Boots are offering it at £90 per dose so just wondering get if anyone had any info on it.
Did you have to pay for both vaccines upfront or pay each time?
How were dc's afterwards.
Any info would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

What was the availability like for appointments Slightly?

Scoose · 21/07/2016 14:03

Yes they did ask if dd had any allergies

Slightlypanicked · 21/07/2016 15:07

Got an appointment for a couple of weeks away. They did have availability sooner but I wasn't available

Yes we did for DD aged 3. She had a temperature afterwards but it passed without incident. Thought it was a very good service by Boots actually

We are booked in for 2nd August at Boots. When I went into the waiting list DS wasn't 2, but I took a chance on summer meaning after his birthday. He's 2 on Sunday, so when I got the email I just booked for the day after (the last available day to book at the time) then rescheduled to get both kids in at the same place at the same time a couple of weeks later.

My two girls have had it done at Boots: age 2 and 4. £95 per vaccine x twice each. No issues, highly recommend it!

I know this is an old thread, but it was a revelation to me that I could get DDs vaccinated at Boots. I thought I would have to find a private GP clinic or something like DH was supposed to be sorting out the chicken pox vaccines (they got chicken pox before he got round to it). I checked online and I can get them done next weekend. Thanks for pointing this service out as I missed the thread last year.

Hi I have my 8 year daughter booked on for her first jab in a week. Can you tell me when the vacation is effective from? The first Jab or the 2nd? I hope I'm doing the right thing, was your daughter ok after it?? X
