Unbelievable. What she did was fucking disgusting. And the lame apology about how it was accidentally posted. Yeah Course it was Hmm Thats why she wrote the caption to go with it.

Yesterday i actually had someone poke me in the stomach and ask me why something hasnt been done about the loose skin ive been left with after weight loss.

But what Dani Mathers has done is downright nasty and IMO she should be charged at least with violation of privacy.

GarlicStake · 16/07/2016 20:52

I was equally gobsmacked by her 'apology'. It's irrelevant that she meant to share it with a friend - she took the picture & captioned it. Her supposed mistake has shown us who she really is. And she's nasty.

LazyCake · 16/07/2016 20:53

Absolutely despicable - Dani Mathers, and the person who thought it was acceptable to poke Helena.

It gives me the rage, this assumption that some people seem to make that women have an obligation to be beautiful. As though we have to earn our little place in this world by being pleasing to the eye. It's de-humanizing, and it makes me feel like getting all my flabby, scarred bits out and jiggling them in the face of the nearest bigot. Angry

VelvetSpoon · 16/07/2016 20:56

It's fucking disgusting. Unfortunately she's shown herself to be a vacuous waste of space. True proof that outer beauty (not that I think she's anything other than average) is meaningless if you're a mean bitch.

I hope she is prosecuted.

I know certain people in my gym (I live in a town with a large population of dance/ drama students who are all super fit, because they dance for 6-8 hours a day, then spend their eves at the gym) look at me with thinly veiled disgust, because I'm a sz 18 to their sz 6. I am old enough to think fuck them, and not really care. But if someone took a pic of me, I'd be destroyed. It's utterly horrible. Having been called a fat lay cunt more than once by men (complete strangers) is bad enough, but it seems worse somehow when women start shaming each other in this way.

TSSDNCOP · 16/07/2016 20:56

What a despicable thing to do.

Bravo for LAFitness taking prompt action to shame her.

GarlicStake · 16/07/2016 20:56

Helena, I'm sorry a similarly arsehole-like individual molested and interrogated you. She was so out of line, she's in a different country! FWIW, she has just shown you that she's controlled by unrealistic images of women and negative beauty policing. You aren't. Neither would you assault someone else, stranger or friend, as she did.

This makes you a better & saner person than her, in every way.

CaptainBrickbeard · 16/07/2016 20:59

I also am really heartened by the gym's response - good for them.

ImperialBlether · 16/07/2016 21:01

Oh she didn't mean to share it with a friend! That was a lie to get her out of trouble. Her stream of apologies was laughable, really - she's a huge user of social media and realised it was going to backfire on her.

ImperialBlether · 16/07/2016 21:02

I meant she didn't want to only share with a friend.

geekymommy · 16/07/2016 21:08

What do people like this think overweight people should do? Clearly we shouldn't go to a gym, because then people like them might have to see us.

MollyTwo · 16/07/2016 21:11

I'm so glad she got the backlash that she did. Maybe it will make those who feel so superior enough to shame others think twice!

itsalldyingout · 16/07/2016 21:14

What a bitch.

I wonder if she had her breasts surgically enhanced because someone told her they couldn't un-see them.

ShotgunNotDoingThePans · 16/07/2016 21:14

Some interesting remarks in the comments section:
'. . . the propaganda sold to women such as Mathers, masked as empowerment. It is not at all surprising that a woman who objectifies her own body and allows her body to be judged against the bodies of other women in Playmate of the Year competitions did this horrible act when she saw a woman's body that didn't conform to the feminine beauty standard. She has internalized sexism.'
Well put - doesn't excuse it though.

Alisvolatpropiis · 16/07/2016 22:04

Wow that is an awful thing to do.

I hope the woman she photographed isn't terribly upset by it. Bad that this woman did it but the edited photograph being all over social media can't be making it any easier for her, even if everybody is firmly on her side.

HelenaDove · 16/07/2016 22:32

Thanks Garlic. Thanks

The woman who did it is overweight herself . i told her id now stopped going to Slimming World and she immediately assumed i would put all the weight back on again.

Thing is im used to eating healthily now and i really dont want to go to SW for the rest of my life.

I quit because i dropped a couple of pounds below my target and they wanted me to start paying again then when the consultant said she was leaving it seemed as good a time as any to go it alone Smile

NayaDeles · 16/07/2016 22:39

Wow, when I read that this happened at an LA Fitness! I had a bad experience in an LA Fitness gym a few years back. A member of staff followed me into the changing room and, when I took my trousers off, laughed at me.

I looked up quickly in shock thinking that it was surely a coincidence and that someone just happened to laugh at that same moment but I caught her eye in the mirror and she smirked before flouncing out Sad I'm guess I'm glad she didn't have her phone on her.

Obviously I'm not saying this was the fault of the company, it just brought it back to me.

HelenaDove · 16/07/2016 22:47

Eh? Naya thats awful. Disgusting behaviour

OP posts:
Aeroflotgirl · 16/07/2016 22:49

What goes around, comes around nasty girl, that will teach her. What she did was disgusting, shows her for who she is. I am 😟 Someone did that to you, she would have got a slap in the face from me. The mentality of some😡😡😡

NayaDeles · 16/07/2016 23:19

Thanks Helena, can't say I'd be too happy if someone poked me like they did you. But I know if be too shocked at the rudeness to do anything but Shock

Exploretheunexplored23 · 16/07/2016 23:25

I think she should be charged. Surely taking an indecent photo of someone without permission and posting it for the world to see is illegal?! If it was a man they would be in massive trouble!

HelenaDove · 16/07/2016 23:29

! If it was a man they would be in massive trouble

Exactly So why arent the MRAs jumping on this and saying the same.

Couldnt be they are ignoring it because shes a Playboy model could it?

OP posts:
RedHareWithBlondeHair · 16/07/2016 23:32

Helena I've followed quite a few of your posts on threads and know very well the astonishing amount of weight you've managed to loose over the years, not stalking you as it probably appears I'm very much in awe.

Yanbu and she should be done for something - taking a picture of someone nearly naked without their knowledge should be punishable. The woman was at a gym FGS! Not that it would make it acceptable if they were at McDonalds but it stands to reason that this feeds directly into women's issues with their bodies and therefore sparks a great deal of self loathing amongst them.

It took me decades to learn to love my body and that woman should be ashamed of herself. What makes it worse is her worm-like apology of saying it was an accident. No it bloody well wasn't. And she should find something better to do than cavort about in bikini's on Instagram.

originalmavis · 16/07/2016 23:39

Surely sneaking a naked photo of someone without their permission in a shower is enough to get you on the sex offenders register? Creepy indeed.

Was1969 · 16/07/2016 23:45

What an absolute bitch! I hope she gets prosecuted Angry

HelenaDove · 16/07/2016 23:57

Thanks Red.

A lot of women in changing rooms are now going to get nervous when they see someone enter the room with a phone in their hand.

A prosecution needs to happen to sen the message that it is NOT acceptable and to stop others from doing it.

OP posts:
HelenaDove · 17/07/2016 00:06

Ooh wouldnt it be fab if the woman who was photographed ended up with a contract to model for Marina Rinaldi or something.

not that ive fantasized about that myself
