To both attend DCs first day of school?

We both did for the older two and plan to for dc3 in September.

It's obviously not that common judging by the other parents doing a solo drop off and pick up. It's always been quite a momentous occasion for us and I just wondered if it's seen as a bit odd or overkill?

What do you think? AWBU?

It's fine as long as your child is not likely to get overwhelmed by all the attention. Also, if your school is the type where parents are allowed in the classroom first thing, I'd suggest you don't both go in - crowded enough already!!
