To feel a bit sad I can't get a mortgage

I know it's a first world problem and I know many people rent indefinitely happily, but I'd love a mortgage and real home security. My own situation could be a thousand times worse but I am angry with myself really.

Feel the same here OP. Can afford it, just everytime we get close to a deposit, prices increase & we need to add to the deposit

This is my problem. On one salary I cant get a mortgage. for everyone.

Don’t be disheartened I think if it’s something that’s important you should start taking steps towards it.

• Clear your debt
• Get a credit card put alarm small amount on and clear it every month
• Start saving even if it’s just a little each month (I put money in my savings as soon as I am paid so it’s like I never had the money on the first place)

I feel for you op. It is exactly the same for me. I don’t earn enough to borrow the amount I need but pay rent for more than a mortgage.
