Trying to keep this short.
We are renting out our flat as holiday rental as living at the other ent ofthe country atm.
Have a cleaner that we knew before, she's been reliable, trustworthy, hard working etc...

However we received some negative feedback from guests - she had left dripping wet linen on a drying rack in the kitchen. (Kitchen is tiny so it would have been on the way instantly)
The guests had to spin it inthe machine and then they dried for 2 days on the rack.
Tbh it would have pissedme off as a guest.

She gets a monthly fee (as per her own suggestion) which includes linen and towels washed-dried.
She never said there was an issue before but after i asked her she now says she can't do laundry (not enough time, because she has other jobs, not necessarily because turnover time) and she could take it to laundrette but we would have to pay launderette + taxi + more for her time

I said we will think about it and get back to her.
She said ok!
Today she sent me a message with only a link to cleaning services website!

It this her way of saying she won't do it anymore!?! DH we (I) pissed her off and she doesn't want to do it and that's it...
I only saw the message about 30min ago, so too late to call her. DH will call her tomorrow (he knows her better).
She has already been paid for this month and we have people arriving tomorrow afternoon!!
Wtf do i do if she's quitting without any notice? How will i find someone to do the cleaning at a few hours notice?

Surely she just takes all laundry home and has all week to have it ready for the following week. So had double of everything. That's what usually happens.
We were renting a place and when one client complained our cleaner said she didn't want to do it anymore. I think it's such an awful job having someone complain is the last straw.

I let out a house as a holiday let. I have two of all the linen and the cleaners take it away and bring it back the next turn over day. I would be horrified if they left anything drying on a rack for a guests arrival. I would say you need more professional cleaners and more linens and towels.

For what it's worth I have 4 sets of everything!
Will talk to her soon....

If you have four sets then why is she doing the laundry there? That makes no sense. Does she know she can take it away with her and bring it back next week?

You may find it worth it to use a more local holiday cottage management company. They would probably have a team of cleaners and can deal with any headaches caused by cleaners being off sick/walking out etc, and can also be on the spot to deal with any other emergencies. Additionally they could deal with advertising, bookings, payments etc.

I agree that logic dictates that either the cleaner takes the dirty bedding and towels home, or you arrange an outside laundry service. I can see why the cleaner doesn't want to sit around twiddling her fingers waiting for a wash to finish.

She can take it away with her, i think she prefers not to.
She has occasionally used laundry service which we paid for without issue but the agreement originally was she was doing laundry herself
