My niece seems to be selling a LOT of Ted Baker items on Facebook selling pages, all new with tags. She's a shop manager so not sure how she's coming about these items.

I asked her mum and she has no idea, and says her DD just keeps saying "it's not important, the money is".

What do you think is going on?

OP posts:

Sounds to me like she's shoplifting or selling things on for someone who is

APlaceOnTheCouch · 09/07/2016 14:34

EverySongbird personally I think you're right and OP's niece is missing a trick. She should be selling steak bakes on ebay - basically providing a delivery service for Greggs. That would be a great idea Grin

KissMyArse · 09/07/2016 14:39

A salary of £22,000 at 18 and she can't manage on that without selling clothes on the side Shock

notapizzaeater · 09/07/2016 14:40

Does she have to wear ted baker stuff at work ? Some staff are given an allowance to buy clothes which they then have to wear at work. ,perhaps she's selling that

MiracletoCome · 09/07/2016 14:41

What is being a shop manager at Greggs got anything to do with it, its nothing to do with Facebook selling or Ted Baker.

Justbeingnosey123 · 09/07/2016 14:42

notapizzaeater your Greggs must be posher than the ones by me no ted baker there 😉

MiracletoCome · 09/07/2016 14:42

i'm sure Greggs staff don't wear a Ted Baker uniformGrin

🤐🤐🤐🤐🤐 missed that bit !!

WorraLiberty · 09/07/2016 14:44

Kiss, according to the OP she lives alone.

So no doubt she'll have rent/council tax/gas/electric etc... to pay.

Quiero · 09/07/2016 14:44

Mmmmmm steak bake

KissMyArse · 09/07/2016 14:59

Worra Fair enough if she lives in a high cost area then I agree £1,500 take home pay a month probably won't be enough. If she's in a low cost area then it should be plenty to cover living expenses especially with discounted pies

EveOnline2016 · 09/07/2016 15:07

Perhaps the manager has giving her permission to do so.

OP can advice her DN about managing on £22k a year because she's just been offered a job herself for that same amount. Confused

Confused
Kenduskeag · 09/07/2016 15:34

If she's selling a bunch of Ted Baker stuff with tags on and won't tell anyone where she gets them from...

Come on, Sherlock.

ToadsJustFellFromTheSky · 09/07/2016 15:36
