Who's ice cream is it really?

DH and I are having a disagreement about ice cream.

Person A bought a 2 pack of gu desserts. They ate theirs and then person B offered to swap their dessert for a tub of ice cream that was already in the freezer and "belonged" to person A.

Person B then ate the gu dessert, having forgotten about the deal. They replaced the dessert the next day but as they only come in a two pack, they are the second dessert.

Who's is the ice cream now?
Person B thinks that their second dessert is irrelevant to the situation.

Needless to say, this is lighthearted!!

Whose. Not who's.

DiamondInTheRuff · 07/07/2016 20:21

So over the course of the week (ish), A has had 2 Gu puds. B has had 2 Gu puds AND 2 tubs of ice cream? B is being V V V unreasonable and needs to provide more pudding, plus do all of the washing up to make up for it.

It all happened over the course of about 2 weeks but yes B has had all those things. B does the washing up already mostly as A is pregnant and heaves near the sink gives self away.

Do I get more sympathy because he stole a pregnant woman's pudding?

Hmm.

The issue is that it wasn't a done deal, and in the interim the exchange rate of ice cream to Gu has changed dramatically.

The last Gu was a highly sought after commodity, but now the market is flooded with them, they are no longer worth an entire tub of ice cream. Person B should have taken advantage of the exchange rate at the time instead of eating the Gu.

Ice cream belongs to A

UterusUterusGhali · 07/07/2016 20:34

Christ, Evans, that's unforgivable!

You should have Güs for life for that misdemeanor.

LTB

lottiegarbanzo · 07/07/2016 20:45

Does a pregnant woman get more sympathy? Do you have to ask??? This is a very terrible misdemeanour perpetrated by B. Extra puddings for A henceforth!

threeelephants · 07/07/2016 20:53

If you both had 2 gu puds, then the ice cream should have been shared. Regardless of all the maths, as a is pregnant, b should get his arse down the shop and get her whatever pudding she desires.

KurriKurri · 07/07/2016 20:57

Oh scrap all previous posts by me - stealing a pregnant woman's puddings is about as low as you can get - are you listening person B ?

You need to be heading down Pudding Lane, across Pudding Street and over to the Giant Pudding Shop right now. And then throwing in a bunch of flowers because the puddings you will buy are owed so don't count as apology.

SquinkiesRule · 07/07/2016 21:02

All ice cream belongs to me. No matter where it came from or how it got in the freezer. No saving aloud. I see it I eat it. unless my grown kids get there first, pigs.

HE STOLE YOUR PUDDING - LTB!! From an also pregnant MNer who just had to wrestle DH for the last solero. (Stupid packs of 3!!)

EvansAndThePrince · 07/07/2016 21:38

Arf that is an absolute masterpiece Grin

Yep I seem to have been done in this situation. I'll just have to buy secret treats for the rest of time.

WeAreEternal · 07/07/2016 22:08

The only solution is to buy another pack of deserts and a tub of ice cream and sit and eat all three in front of him and not share any.

OhSoggyBiscuit · 07/07/2016 23:24

WeAreEternal or install a lock on the freezer...

angelikacpickles · 07/07/2016 23:27

Person A owns the ice-cream. Each of A and B bought and consumed two gu desserts, so the ice cream remains A's.

Queenbean · 07/07/2016 23:30

Arf you bloody legend, thank you for doing that! I was most confused. Did it take very long?!

B is, of course, BU

LifeIsGoodish · 07/07/2016 23:56

Haven't a clue but you're both BU to be making any sort of fuss or analysis over a pair of supermarket desserts.

(Says the person who ate the last Magnum and the one before last as well.)

TheWeeBabySeamus1 · 08/07/2016 00:10

I was very confused until Arfs helpful visual aid. Now it's crystal clear - person B is an ice cream stealing scoundrel.

BeenThereTooSEL · 08/07/2016 00:20

Did you say swapsies no returns?

EveOnline2016 · 08/07/2016 00:41

Person a because a comes first in the alphabet.

Please a is a+1 and a+1 > b

twittwooery · 08/07/2016 01:40

I think it should be 3 puts to one and the one gets ice cream

FabFiveFreddie · 08/07/2016 01:47

Person A. That was the deal. Not Person A's fault that Person B forgot the deal.

The apology (in the form of another Gu pudding) was gratefully received.

Now I want a Gu pudding - and I don't even live in the UK.

DiamondInTheRuff · 08/07/2016 06:42

I've never had a Gu pudding. Sad

PayAttentionNigel · 08/07/2016 08:18

Arf that's brilliant. Yes you've been conned out of your ice cream Evans
Oh and Flowers & of course Cake for you Diamond

DeathStare · 08/07/2016 08:37

If person A is pregnant then it is person A's dessert and person A's ice cream. Until the baby is born all the desserts and all the ice creams are Person A's.

And if Person B doesn't like that he can think about while he has his beer, his soft cheese and his pate.
